It is so. That which is not related to desire is also without benefit, and does not exist together. If, because the reason is flawed, it is not beneficial to that meaning, that alone does not establish it, and if it is contradictory, then all the faults of the sign become faults of the vow, and it is not a transformation. Why? Because dependence on other faults is not, as has been shown. If, moreover, dependence is also a fault of the side, then at that time no fault of the establisher arises, because it harms the meaning of the vow, and is included in the fault of the vow. The faults of the establisher are not mentioned separately. Who, without a deluded mind, would speak separately while being included in one? Therefore, such a thing is not a fault of the side. However, if it is contradictory by nature of not coexisting, then at that time, if it is not in what is accepted, it is also not established. If the reason is on the side of what is accepted If it is not, then because it is not established, the non-establishment itself will refute it, and it is not a fault of the vow. If it refutes the meaning of the vow, then, by what valid cognition is it established, that valid cognition becomes the fault of clarifying the vow, and it is not called contradictory. Because it possesses the reason of impermanence, if one speaks thus of sound, thus it is transformed. If it possesses the reason of impermanence, if one speaks thus of sound, why, in this, only an example is shown, what other meaning is seen? This showing of reason is, however, an example of dissimilar dharma. Sound is permanent, because everything is impermanent, here also it should be said thus, sound is permanent, because impermanence is everything. Because it is not practiced, it is not said thus. Thus also, that is because the example itself is not practiced, it is spoken of by dissimilar dharma. Thus it is said. In this, only the saying of example is seen, there is no other meaning. What are those two? Thus, if one shows impermanence in sound itself, if this becomes a reason, then

This is not reasonable. For example, in the particular, state the other, because the general is subsequent, so it is not universal, the general is subsequent, what is the result? All combinations are understood by following the reasoning that arises from sound. The reasoning that arises from sound is also establishing, negating, and determining. Establishing is also what is to be harmed and what harms. Determining is also the same. Among them, what is to be harmed and what harms are establishing the general and the particular. Thus, sometimes it is what is to be harmed first, and sometimes it is what harms. In all cases, the particular is what harms, and the general is what is to be harmed, because the terms are seen as such. Here, the sound is permanent, because the particularity of permanence is established on the sound, and impermanence is established in the general dharma, so what is to be harmed and what harms is reasonable. For example, give ghee to Kauṇḍinya, give yogurt to all Brahmins, just as giving yogurt is general, and giving ghee is particular, like harming, setting aside the particularly excluded field, giving generally is subsequent. Therefore, the particular that follows the general is not universal. For what follows the general, there is also no result. This is through the force of words, because words are related to the occasion. If this meaning is desired, then the sound is permanent, because it is impermanent. Otherwise, the unfinished particularities also apply to one field. In this way, it will also become contradictory. If it is also like that because of ignorance, then that is not possible, because the ignorance of saying impermanence at the same time as establishing permanence is not possible. For those who do not even have a little knowledge, it should not be controlled by argument either. However, some examples of contradictory vows and reasons should also be examined, if someone says this in one hundred, then the vow and the reason are contradictory.
