As for me, it is holding to be the subject (ཕྱོགས།), because its dharma is the reason, so there is no fault. If the proposition is not established, then how can it be established to understand its dharma? This is also unreasonable. For example: If the proposition can be established, how can this become the subject? There is doubt about the dharma to be proven, and merely having the nature of a subject (ཆོས་ཅན།) is the subject. When the proposition is established, because it is not a special object that one wants to understand, it is not the subject. Likewise, some say that wanting oneself to be proven is the subject. If it is already established, how would one want to be proven? Therefore, what is the meaning of "subject-property" (ཕྱོོགས་ཆོས།)? It is the dharma of the subject that has doubts about the dharma to be proven. When it is not established, how can its dharma not be established? Then, if it is said that it is because of the general approximation of the limbs, how should it be explained? This is saying: Approximate designation is to avoid disputes. If it is said to be the dharma of the subject, then the definition will be too broad. There is a dispute here, the so-called "subject-property" is unreasonable, because when the reason uses its own nature, the subject does not exist. Seeing the reason on merely the subject of earth, direction, etc., and recalling the pervasion, it will later turn into the cognition of the dharma to be proven, such as impermanence, etc. Because there was no such cognition before, merely recognizing the subject will be omitted. If it is said that there is doubt about the dharma to be proven, that is not right, because there is no certainty. Isn't it because there is doubt that the reason is used? If you say how can there be no certainty? No, because you want to eliminate things that have already been established and manifested. For things that are certain and manifest, the reason is not used, because it is not necessary and cannot be done. Therefore, it should be said "the dharma of the subject." If you say "the dharma of the subject," then the dharma of the example will also become the reason, therefore, being seen by the eyes will also become the reason. Therefore, in order to be able to grasp the subject that turns into earth and direction, the "subject" is said. So, how is it the subject?
