That pleasure, etc., are produced by others, hence it is said to be non-autonomous, which is not the previous statement. The nature of pleasure, suffering, and ignorance is considered to be the cause of manifestation of sound, etc., of the Pradhana. If it is said that because of the non-simultaneous cause, pleasure, etc., would become devoid of substantiality, and the nature of the Pradhana is eternal, which would harm it, then it would become devoid of substantiality? This is not so, like this, if there is a probandum here. Therefore, it will definitely become contradictory, because of gradual action and impermanence, and because there is no contradiction, it is not a dissimilar class, and because turning back causes doubt, this is a thought with additional distinctions. This is prevented by non-gradualness, and the nature of acting gradually is the probandum. Because there is no contradiction in gradual action and impermanence, because it does not make impermanence understood, just as there is harm to the subject, harming it does not harm the dharma. Therefore, the subject itself is spoken of, by what dharma is self-acknowledged, because it is established, is its basis solely a harm? It is not so in the world, as shown. A single harm or other than that, because of harming the subject that turns to the basis, it is not a harm to the proponent's accepted thesis. Therefore, for the dharma to be established, harm to the subject needed nearby is a fault. Therefore, The subject of sound itself, it is shown that it is not a harm because of harm, and similarly, the subject itself is also said to be for another subject. Therefore, if the subject to be established with the distinction of dharma is what, and the dharma to be established on it, if there is no harm that contradicts direct perception, inference, scripture, and reputation, then that is the probandum, otherwise it is a pseudo-probandum, as the meaning of what was said earlier is declared. If the distinction is not fully established, and both are not fully established, and the distinction is not fully established, are there other pseudo-probandums named? The distinction not fully established is like, for example, "I am pervasive." The distinction not fully established is, for the Samkhyas, "sound is impermanent." Both not fully established is, "I am the cause of aggregation."

That is what is said. If asked, why are these not properly arranged? The answer is: it is not like that. It is like this: Because it exists in the later branch, this should not be a fault of the subject. By merely arranging the subject properly, that fault itself exists. If someone asserts that the 'self' is pervasive, then what fault is there in the subject? If asked, because the dharma does not exist, the basis of the reason is not established. The answer is: then this is a fault of the reason, not a fault of the subject, because it is a follower of concomitance and contraposition. Similarly, where is the statement 'sound is impermanent' not established? If asked, where is sound...? The answer is: this is not a fault, because that is for the sake of proving it. Otherwise, what is the meaning of proof? If asked, because it is established oppositely, it is said to be unestablished. The answer is: even if it is established oppositely for the ignorant, that alone will not become a fault of the subject. If it is established oppositely by a valid cognition, then at that time the subject is harmed by the valid cognition. This is the fault of the characteristic of contradicting the valid cognition, not another fault. If it is in the example, then at that time the example is empty of what is to be proven, so that is its own fault, not the fault of the subject. Neither is completely established, because both have the same fault, so all of these are faults of the reason. If asked, even if it is a fault of the reason, it will become a fault of the subject, because here in all places the subject itself is not established. The answer is: if that is the case, then all the faults of the reason, etc., will become faults of the subject, because there is no fault of the reason, etc., that does not harm the subject. Because all the faults of the probans become faults of the subject itself. Even so, what is related to the proposition is the fault of the subject. Merely harming it is not a fault of the subject, the fault of the probans will also become a fault. If asked, even if the fault of the probans harms it, it is not a fault of the subject. The answer is: it is not like that, because there is no other understanding.

If, however, the nature of the subject and its time have passed, and at the time of establishment, their respective natures will become different, therefore it is a fault of the subject. However, if it is said that the absence of pervasion, etc., is a fault of the reason (hetu) itself, that is not the case, because pervasion is the same. Pervasion is a relation, and it also exists on both, therefore it is also of both. If it is said that, depending on what is to be established, being unestablished in that way is a fault of the subject, but not depending on what establishes. If it is said that depending on what establishes is a fault of what establishes itself, this has already been said. If the two establish each other mutually, then how could it be a fault of the subject? If it is said that, the subject and the dharma being established, merely being related to what is to be established, the collection itself is what is to be established, this is also not certain, because it is said that only one's own nature is to be shown. Then, if it is said that, if the subject is not established, establishment is impossible, how is this said? This is because it is thought that if the basis is not established, then the reason itself is impossible on it. Therefore, the totality of the unestablished dharma and subject is also the subject itself. Therefore, the fault of not depending on the reason is the fault of the subject. Therefore: The fault of depending on the later limb, whatever follows it, is said to be that, therefore, the basis etc. not being established is not a fault of the subject. This has already been said. Depending on the later limb, it will not become a fault of the subject. If it is not so, then the faults of causes etc. will also become faults of the subject, because everything harms the subject. Therefore, merely being related to this, is a fault of the subject, not others, like the four harms of direct perception etc. Therefore, the unestablished basis is not a fault of the subject, this is reason. If it is said that, sound is not audible, a pot is permanent, and, inference is not a valid cognition, the possessor of a rabbit is not the moon, do these not show the harm of the nature of the dharma being reversed? It is not harming the difference between the subject and the dharma, and the nature of the subject.
