It is only without. Although it is so, to refute what was previously established is contradictory to the commitment. If what is refuted is precisely one's own doctrine, then it is contradictory to one's own words. That kind of treatise, as a valid means of cognition, is because of the commitment, for all things, if it is said to be harmful, then, if it is thought that it is not harmful, what is it? If one's own words contradict, then one's own words and the treatise contradicting become indistinguishable. If he does not think so, then what will cause harm? If it is said no, then even if he thinks so, how will it cause harm? If it is thought not to be a valid means of cognition, then it is not a valid means of cognition at all. If it is said that what was previously committed has not been changed later, then, what contradiction would there be if it were changed? If it is said that it contradicts one's own words, then, since it has been committed to contradict one's own words, then contradicting one's own words and contradicting the treatise become indistinguishable, there is no difference in contradicting the treatise. Because it is made by a person's intention, this is the complete valid means of cognition. If a person makes a treatise a valid means of cognition by his own intention, then his words must also be complete and without lack, therefore his words are no different from the treatise. If the treatise is committed to accomplish one's own doctrine, so it is a valid means of cognition. One's own words are for the sake of others' doctrines, so it is only so, because there is not much effort for others' doctrines, if it is said so, that is not right. Like this: If it is fully examined, then it is a valid means of cognition, it will cause harm. If it is not examined, then it is no different from one's own words. If it is committed after examination, then at that time, that meaning has been established by the valid means of cognition itself, therefore the valid means of cognition itself will cause harm. If it is not examined, then it is only words, therefore contradicting one's own words is no different from the treatise. Therefore, for the meaning that has already been known, even if the treatise is abandoned, there is no fault. For hidden words, the treatise is not allowed to speculate. For the subject that has been fully established by the valid means of cognition, there is no fault in abandoning the treatise that has no obstacle to speculation. However, there are some that contradict the commitment, because they contradict the commitment. This is not to exclude the object that contradicts the treatise, for the subject that is established by the treatise, it is the treatise.

Because there is no possibility of analysis there, eliminating the object that contradicts the scriptures is the correct thing to do. If you don't want the scriptures, then it's just not putting your mind on them. In that case, relying on the scriptures, distinguishing the Dharmata is harmful. If the scriptures are not valid, then how can they be distinguished? Because it has been promised to be valid. In that case, only what one has promised as valid can distinguish the Dharmata, and in order to prove other dharmas with it, there is no difference between contradicting one's own words and contradicting the scriptures. Most of the investigations into this are: saying contradiction, like this: attachment etc. are not dharma, they are miscellaneous things, and bathing cannot make things that are not dharma become pure. It is also said: the faults that reside in the mind, fearing contamination, bathing cannot purify them. Even if you wash it a hundred times, it will not become clean like a wine bottle. It is said like this, and it is also said in the same way: from one's own door, all flesh and blood are blurred, the Vilva and the blue mountain, at the entrance of Kankalo, even if you bathe, it is impossible to appear again. It's like that. If there is no harm at all, but only contradiction, then what is the purpose of contradicting the promise? For visible and invisible things, with reason established and with one's own words, whichever is the harmful scripture, in order to accept it, analysis will be carried out. For visible and invisible things, one should promise the scriptures that do not contradict validity and one's own words. If one does not promise in this way, one will not become a person who takes thinking as a priority. Eliminating with fame is also not a view. Because fame is a sign of nature. If credible words do not appear without meaning, why? Because it has been promised that way. There, there is a relationship of promise, but it is not established by validity, so it is not the reason for the fruit, and the thing itself is not. If fame also has a relationship with things, then at that time it will become the reason for nature itself. However, if it is produced by promise, then at that time, like words, it is only the promise itself, so how could it be another harmer?
