Ra. It possesses the qualities of space. It is not meaningless to say that it is to be established. The words of those who make distinctions beforehand do not enter without meaning. For the time being, the opponent does not want to establish the impermanence of the qualities of space themselves, which have differences. Not wanting itself is not established merely by making a commitment. If it were not so, then "sound, which is not a quality of space, is impermanent because it is made" would also be established. Other meanings that are desired would also be established. What if the opponent wants it that way? If that is the case, who can prevent such a thing from entering merely by desire, apart from examination? Therefore, this is not the case. If by showing what has been established, it is said that the subject is not to be established, and one's own nature is shown, then this itself will make it understood. Like this, in the nature of what is established and what establishes, if there is no showing, then calling it showing what is to be established, this action will have results. If it is explained in this way, because one's own self becomes established, the subject's own nature is not to be established. If it were not so, what kind of meaning would be accomplished by specifying it by saying "self"? Like this, it is not said merely to show that the subject has been established, because it is established by the occasion of examination itself. Therefore, it is completely established, and it is not to be established. In order to show that it is not to be established, "self" is said. So, is the subject not to be established? That is also unreasonable. Like this, no matter what is established, there is no one who establishes it who has realization. At that time, how can realization itself become the realization to be established? If that is the case, then saying "merely by one's own nature" is meaningless, because it is established by the occasion of examination itself, and it is not to be established. What has been established is not a matter of dispute. If that is the case, because the reason is stated in response to doubt, exclusion is not the basis of the reason. Likewise, it is not the basis of examination. Is what has been established also the same? Here it is said that saying one's own nature is

It is not for the purpose of refuting what has been established, but for the purpose of refuting the unestablished, which is shown as the means of proof. For that very reason, it is determined by "only by its own nature," showing it as one result; if it were not so, it would be shown as two separate results. Then, why is it said, "the nature of establishing what is to be established"? It should be said that the unestablished dharma is shown as the established nature, and similarly, it is also shown as the nature of establishing the dharma. Showing the established nature of the dharma is also unique, for example, "I am the cause of aggregation," or similarly, "the sound of the quality of space is impermanent," which shows the characteristic of the dharma itself. Or, where the dharma is made a characteristic, because it is said, "the sound of the quality of space is impermanent," what should be established is impermanence, not the quality of space. How is it known? What is sound, is it the quality of space, or is it to establish that the sound of the quality of space is impermanent? This will not be known. Even if the sound is the same, it should be understood from the context, and this has already been explained. Then, how should the sound be heard? This will be shown as distinguishing by speaking of its own nature, and if this is the meaning of distinguishing, then it is not reasonable. This is true, but even so, because it is done for others, it will also become for the purpose of others, so after admitting it, it is said that even if it is what is to be established, there is no fault in saying its own nature. How is refutation obtained? Because the dispute is seen, this will also be explained later. The general inference is said to be an object-possessor. Although it is not said here, there is no contradiction with the tenet. The inference of the teacher is an object-possessor. If the dharma has been established, or if something else is to be established, then it will not be general, therefore, if one does not abandon that the dharma one has spoken of is what is to be established, then there is no fault, because it is abandoned by its own characteristic. Furthermore, ག
