After saying "Ah," it is not sufficient to call something a valid measure from anything other than that great element. This also speaks of direction, but it is not just about distinguishing positions by pervasiveness. For example, in pervasiveness, in the West, etc., if it is not understood from something else, then there is no other origin for it, because it becomes nonexistent. If it is said that the realm of pervasiveness is the East, then how does the West, which dwells outside of it, become so? But if it is from both natures, then if it is like that, it should be understood by both. But if it is said that from the manifestation of each determination, some nature is manifested from the many natures of the realm, like the nature of father and son, etc. Just as father, etc., appear clearly in relation to son, etc. This is also not the case, like this: The nature of the realm is determined, from what else does it appear? From that very East, things should become the reason for their nature. From where the distinction of direction, that East and West, etc., become West, etc., in relation to the person who dwells, why not allow things to become like that there as well? The person, etc., in relation to another realm, because they dwell in the realm of the East, are the East itself. That is also because it depends on the sun, so what is the use of examining the direction? If it is said that direction appears clearly from the sun, etc., then the sun, etc., of the East of the sun, etc., also, because it is made by that, this is the fault of mutual dependence. Since the name is perfectly accomplished by that alone, what is the use of striving in relation to others? If it is said that even without dependence, this also becomes the name of being upright, etc., so it is another object of meaning, this is also not the case, like this: There is also a difference in seeing the dependence of being upright there. Because of being extremely accustomed to it later, it is understood as such without others. Here, it is upright for you, so there is an establishment of name in the world. From that also, because of being extremely accustomed to it, later following it, it also becomes without dependence. From where is this? In other places also, because of following it and following the return, it is the cause and the caused thing.

It is so. Like this, people who live in the middle of the ocean, those who have arisen in delusion, by seeing the planets and stars, will surely determine the differences in direction. Because of the association with stars and so on, other directions are not seen. One's own nature that appears, how can it be spoken to be understood? Like this, the so-called east is surely and certainly connected with the rising of the sun. That is not so, even if one sees it like the sun, those sentient beings whose minds are confused about direction will recognize the direction they understood before, but not because of the rising of the sun. Like this, the rising of the sun is also understood to depend on the west. If you say that, then it should also be said to that, for the mind that is not confused, that wants to be associated with the west, that is named with towns like Kundga, it is accustomed to that place being that place. Towns and Kundga gardens, etc., whatever in the previous state, relying on the rising of the sun, constantly focus on the approximate indication and observation of the west, etc., because of habit, they decline, so they do not follow the rising of the sun. However, through association with the habit of relying on approximate indication, it is called that direction. Therefore, associated with beginningless habits, for the minds that are clearly inclined, that is only understanding because it is separated from meaning. Even those who are very focused and have a mind that is inclined, focused, and determined do not have a definite nature of direction, etc., however, because of the lack of discernment, the nature of that world is uncertain, in the way of following the past, it is only because the mind declines that it is called, so what is there to do here? If it is true because it is beginningless, then the non-existent should also be true. Understandings such as independence, etc., why are they not true because they are beginningless? Therefore, this way of existing of directions, etc., is not good. This is only a term that comes close due to bad treatise habits. It is not that all treatises should be true because they are beginningless, because they contradict each other, they have the nature of what is harmed and what harms. Therefore, things themselves depend on each other, and there are names such as east or west.
