Since treatises are not valid means of knowledge, they are not antidotes to it. Therefore, here too, it will not change like not confusing contradictions. Therefore, establishing that the qualities of space do not exist and that things are impermanent together is indeed establishing, and it is not flawed. Not confusing contradictions is not a valid reason because it establishes permanence and selflessness, since existence and non-existence cannot exist on the same object. The non-existence of the qualities of space itself is not contradictory to impermanence itself, so there is a fault in establishing it on the same object. However, those who harm and are harmed, even if they are not, are for the sake of the meaning of the treatise. If it is said that even without a connection it will harm, then everything will be harmed by everything. The reason at the time itself, or for other questions, will also change because it reverses the qualities of the earth. If there is a connection, therefore it will harm itself, that is not right. All reasons are to examine the qualities and faults of one's own thesis. If that dharma has the qualities of space, because it exists, it can be considered to be related, even so, it is not the thesis, because it is not timely, and being untimely will also harm, so there is no fault. All reasons are to observe one's own thesis, wanting to consider merits and faults. Even if it does not disagree with one's own thesis, but if it harms others that are not related to it, because it becomes a fault with the characteristic of harming the treatise, then at that time other reasons will also cause harm to other dharmas, the fault is the same, and it is said to show this. If the connection that does not arise if the thesis does not exist, is not understood here. Here, only harming the treatise is a fault, and that fault is the same as other actions. Establishing without the pervasiveness of the thesis is to be abandoned, because if the thesis is not established, it will not arise, and if it harms it, then it does not exist, and the pervasiveness will also retreat. If the qualities of space themselves do not exist, then it is not that the thesis does not exist and will not arise, therefore even if it does not exist, it will not hinder the thesis. Furthermore, if because of admitting the treatise,

Everything seen should be established. If one says that the example and reason are not established, then it becomes a contradictory proposition. When explaining the Compendium of Valid Cognition, it is said: Because the treatise has been accepted, everything seen in the treatise should be established. If it is not so, then accepting the treatise is meaningless. If its meaning is not established, then accepting the treatise is of no use anywhere, and it should not be accepted. If it is independently valid, then there is nothing that validity can do. Therefore, having accepted the treatise, its meaning must be established. Therefore, it is said that anything contrary to this is a cause for regret. It is said in this regard that unestablished reasons and examples also become contradictory propositions, because they sometimes become the meaning of the treatise. If there is no fault in becoming contradictory, then everything becomes a contradictory proposition, so there is no need to point out faults such as unestablishedness. If it is said that whatever is not the meaning of the treatise should be stated as a reason, so there is an opportunity for faults such as unestablishedness, then it is not so, because it is also promised by one's own mouth. However, if it is not a proposition promised by one's own mouth, then it is clear that it is not promised by another's mouth. According to other distinctions, etc., because the demonstrated consequence is a proposition, the unestablished proof will also become a demonstration. In that way, even if the demonstration of the meaning of the treatise does not become a contradictory proposition, the demonstration itself will become contradictory. In this way, in the explanation, it is said that the proposition is a scripture. If whatever is proposed is a scripture, then is the scripture not the proposition itself? No, because the proposition shows the meaning of the scripture, so it is a scripture, but its own nature is not a scripture. Therefore, because the demonstrated consequence is a proposition, unestablished reasons, etc., will also become contradictory propositions, because it is also the meaning of the scripture. It is true that everything in the meaning of the treatise should be established, but even so, stating the proof itself is not a proposition, because it is not considered to be established. Excellent!
