If, for the sake of establishing what is said, it serves as a means of proof, and there are no faults in other respects, then how can the proposition to be established, the subject to be proven, be a limb of the means of proof? If others also say this: the proposition to be established, which becomes the means of proof, is the thesis. What appears to be a means of proof is not a means of proof, because it is not established. Because it is not a means of proof, it is not a thesis, because the thesis is a means of proof. If it is said like this, if because of the very fact of not being established, what appears to be a means of proof is not a means of proof, then how can the thesis become a means of proof through the meaning of not being established? The thesis is a means of proof precisely because it is not established; if it were established, it would not become an indicator of the near object. If that is the case, then what appears to be a means of proof will inevitably become a means of proof through the thesis itself. Although it may become a means of proof through the thesis itself, what fault is there in this? The very fact of not being established will not become a fault. The thesis is not established by the thesis, therefore it is a fault. If it is said like this, the means of proof itself does not establish in this way. If it is said that it becomes a means of proof by relying on its own meaning, that is not correct, because that which possesses meaning is the means of proof. That itself is not its means of proof, and even a mere fragment of sound is not a means of proof, because everything that is to be expressed is a means of proof. For showing intention, it is said to be a valid cognition. If that itself is the means of proof, then all theses, because of the ability to show external objects, will be able to establish the subject to be proven by themselves. Therefore, since establishment does not arise in it directly or indirectly, the thesis is not a means of proof. Saying other things is the means of proof for the thesis, because it is said together with the appearance. Because it is together with the appearance, it is seen as being together with the means of proof itself. What is said by the one who speaks of refutation is not determined by direct perception. Because a distinction has been made in the nature of the word, there is no fault.

The answer is, "It is." If it is said that it is uncertain because of refutation, the answer is that it is transformed because it is not refutation. All of these are not permissible. For example: Arranging what seems reasonable, etc., the answer is an irrelevant joke. For example, this itself is the correct reason, it has already been said that it is not. Just because it is not seen, it does not make the reason understood. In what way is it possible, it is not uncertain, because it contradicts the inconsistent side, so it must be abandoned. This has been said before. Saying, "Recitation is that which has other recitations preceding it," if it is argued that it is uncertain with extensive recitation, the answer is because it has the difference of a mantra. If asked: What is the difference of a mantra? What cannot be recited as something else? This cannot be accepted, because with the difference that does not contradict the inconsistent side, it is not possible to turn the reason back from that. If it were not so, who could not say "It is not so"? Therefore, the arrangement and the answer, etc., are not feasible, so they accomplish the proposition, and what was said before is the refutation itself. If so, then is it not necessary to clearly indicate the proposition? If so, what is the purpose of the definition of the পক্ষ (pakṣa, पक्ष, the subject, the side)? Because the meaning to be established is understood by the power of reason, whether that is the পক্ষ (pakṣa, पक्ष, the subject, the side) or not, what is the use of this analysis? How it is understood, so it will transform. This is true. Although it has the meaning of the statement to be established and understanding, but in order to be without ignorance, a definition is needed. Wanting the essence, the phrase, the nature itself. Using words to express its four definitions: unestablished, non-establishing, meaningless statement, what the opponent has promised to grasp. All things called definitions are shown to eliminate ignorance, and other statements are the same. In that, for the object of what is to be established and the other side, even great people have great reversed understandings. Even if it is not reversed, it will create a great appearance from the meaningless aspect. Not reversing what is related to faults is not good. For example, for saying "Humans and such are for the benefit of others," even if only the benefit of others is not to be established, also
