It is not manifest even in conceptualization, and since self-manifestation is absent, it is very strange to establish various things on different entities. Through the conceptualization of unobstructed habits and associations, if one thoroughly examines the nature of what is imputed, then it is not present in that very nature. Because it is related to objects, this can accomplish the designation of function, but even from similarity, no meaning is seen. If it is said that there is an internal difference, then why is there no awareness of it? What makes it similar by performing that function? It is not possible to obtain that meaning merely by desiring to appear similar, because one obtains the function of milk, etc., from buffaloes, etc. However, there is an internal difference from that, so it is dissimilar from the dissimilar, but it is not that very function. If it is said that this is the case, then there is indeed an internal difference even among cows, so there is no function that agrees with the dissimilar, and therefore there is no non-deception. Furthermore, in order to generate the awareness of dissimilarity, it would follow that the dissimilar exists elsewhere. If it is said that it arises merely from the absence of similarity, then it would follow that similarity also exists merely from the absence of dissimilarity. If it is said that similarity is the absence of dissimilarity, how can a thing become a non-thing? Why does the mere absence of dissimilarity not become dissimilarity, since dissimilarity is established for both opponents, and merely by its absence, the name of similarity is also completely fulfilled, so perceiving another similarity becomes meaningless. Therefore, immediate apprehension is not another valid cognition. If it is said that because the established meaning is established by scripture, it is said to establish the established, then what is the use of the established? As it is said: If the meaning is established by scripture itself, then what is the use of establishing a thesis? If the meaning is not established by scripture, then what is the use of establishing a thesis? If there is no valid scripture, how can the meaning be established? Even with scripture, the meaning is not accomplished merely by establishing a thesis. If it is said that because of extreme familiarity, awareness is established merely by the thesis and reason, so the words of the thesis are meaningful, then at that time, what is the use of the five-membered statement because of extreme familiarity? Because it is shown only by the thesis, then at that time the thesis is also

None. Then, how can it be said like this? In my opinion, the stated subject (ཕྱོགས།), is not the means of proof (སྒྲུབ་པར་བྱེད།), but rather the object (ཡུལ།) of the argument? If asked this way, then it is answered: If the object is not indicated, because the argument cannot enter. If it is thought that the function can be established from the indication of the object itself, and merely saying "because it is made" can explain impermanence, if it is not known that impermanence has been established, then another statement of the subject, "sound is impermanent," is required. Then, whether taking the object of the argument itself or taking something else is superfluous, because in any case, this is established. If the object is not indicated, the argument cannot enter, so the object must be indicated. Therefore, what necessarily exists before establishing the thesis is the means of proof; if it is not so, the means of proof itself will not exist. If it is said that this is to establish the result of valid cognition (ཚད་མ།), then indicating it as the result of valid cognition, or as the subject, or using other names, will not achieve good results; it is like calling a spoke a wheel. Therefore, if its function can be established from the indication of the object itself, then doubts and so on will also become causes, which has already been said. The pervasion of indicating the object, whether it is a sentence with a prior occurrence (སྔོན་འགྲོ།), or expressed in another way, neither of these methods is good. It should be examined whether the statement "the object must be indicated by the subject" refers to the statement with prior pervasion, or to indicating the argument with the five limbs? What difference does it make? Even without prior pervasion, merely saying "sound is made, like these are all impermanent" can make people understand the meaning. If it is said, "Whatever is made is impermanent," then by summarizing everything to indicate the pervasion, and by indicating the made in this way, people can understand "sound is impermanent." In that case, what is the use of the words of the subject? Because the object has already been completely established elsewhere. If it is said that without the words of the subject, how can it be determined that the argument is contradictory?

This place does not exist. The opponents think that they will fully understand the contradictions, and then make a proposition (dam bca', Sanskrit: pratijñā, Romanized Sanskrit: pratijna, literal Chinese meaning: vow), but it is not. Why strive to harm yourself? If the word of proposition is not added, how can others know that this reason is contradictory? Whose fault is this accusation? If it is said to be the fault of the opponent, that is not correct. Even if the opponent does not understand, if the truth is skillfully presented, why bother to prove it? Since it has been explained that the author should first carry out a universally pervasive argument, since there is no contradiction, it is of great help to the opponent, so it is not the fault of the author. Because the author is not writing for the purpose of harming the opponent's interests. If it is said that the opponent should be followed, then why hate others? What is this? Furthermore, if it is said that there is a contradiction in the statement "sound is permanent because it is made", then anyone who is not a madman will not, at the same time as proposing "sound is permanent", prove that it is pervasive with impermanence. If it is proved that it is pervasive with permanence, then the contradiction will be recognized because of the inverted pervasiveness. Furthermore, in the case of "sound is permanent because it is made", is the contradiction pointed out according to the argument of the proposition, or is it because there is no proposition, and suddenly some incoherent words are said that cause doubt? Because the proposition is to understand the meaning of the occasion and approach it, so if the proposition is said in this statement without occasion, it is just suddenly saying some incoherent words. If the opponent creates the occasion, then the function of the word of proposition has been completed, and it can be stopped. If it is said that without the proposition, the argument is incomplete, isn't it? As it is said: "If any part of the proposition, etc., is missing, it is incomplete." If this is a branch of the argument, then it will become incomplete if it is missing. The proposition is a branch of the argument, which is itself a contradiction. If the branch of the argument becomes incomplete, then the proposition...
