It is not possessed, because the nature that is not distinguished due to the difference of place, time, and circumstance being determined as one, is empty of otherness, and so on. Similarly, by changing parts, everything can be accomplished, because there is no difference, and so on. Because such a thing is contradictory to be related to the differences of place, etc. If it is one, but because it is pervasive, what contradiction is there in being related to many places, etc.? It is not so, because it is not possible to see the connection with many times. Being pervasive in the previous and later times is not directly perceived, because the previous and later things are objects of conceptualization. Whatever is seen as having passed is the previous time; whatever time is seen as not yet having come is the later time, because there is no other time apart from the thing seen at that time. If there is no time, how does it become the name of previous, etc.? Similarly, because there is also no place. If there is time, how does it become the name of previous and later? Merely being related to time does not make it the object of the name of previous, etc., because it would be too much to become what is happening now. Because time is different. For example: Whoever is associated with the previous time, etc., shows the name of previous, etc. And its previous and later, are not different from its own nature. Whoever is associated with the thing of the previous time is the previous; whoever is associated with the thing of the later time is similarly the later, etc. How is time itself the previous? The previous, etc. of time is only by its own nature. If it is said that place is also like that, it is not so, because of what reason? If they are signs and pervasiveness, how are previous, etc. established? Because of co-existence, if so, they will be mutually dependent. Place and time are pervasive, even if they are constant, because Rama, etc. co-exist as the previous. What contradiction is there in that transformation? Co-existence also does not name some things, like calling it a "bed." Similarly, here also is time.

If it is said that it is the designation of "past," then you will be involved in the fault of mutual dependence. The prior condition of co-existence, formerly associated with time, the prior state of time, etc., are all because of being associated with co-existence. If one is not previously established, how can the other exist? If the two occur simultaneously, then the prior state will not be the result of mutual action. As long as there is no prior state of time, etc., the co-existent things will not change, therefore the manifest desire will not be accomplished. However, since it is impossible to understand that the prior state of both, etc., is simultaneous and mutually acting, there is no result of mutual action, because the self-nature is produced by its own cause. The essence of the prior state, etc., is the thing itself. Therefore, it is meaningless to fully understand time. For example, whatever is past is said to be prior, whatever is not understood is said to be after, and whatever exists is said to be present. If because there is no time, then how is this possible? Since it has already been explained how it would be even if there were time. Therefore, this is not an answer. Furthermore: Because there is cause and no cause, there is result and no result. Since the prior and subsequent states exist, what is the use of unseen speculation? The designations of prior and subsequent are because of the establishment of existence and non-existence. That is also because from having cause and not having cause, that cause is also produced from the having and not having of its own cause, therefore, understanding the unseen is not logical. However, if it is thought that time is without beginning and end, which can completely eliminate the self-nature of long and short, etc., that is also not at all right. For example: If the grasping of long and short, etc., is regarded as time, then from time without beginning and end, how can there be a transformation of thoughts of long and short, etc.? If those thoughts grasp the self-nature of time, then at that time, the absence of beginning and end, and universality itself, will grasp it. Because it is impossible to grasp long and short, etc., in other ways. Whatever is the self-nature of what is grasped, that should be understood as reasonable in meaning. Things exist in other ways
