"Others' understanding does not change." This is called an intermediate verse. If it is said that "the cause itself is apprehended," is this not unreasonable? Because things have multiple abilities. Therefore, the apprehending ability that has no time to transfer to another place is also different, and by its power, merely generating the subsequent consciousness, its ability is also different. The very fact that things possess multiple abilities is also necessarily determined from the generation of multiple results. Otherwise, various results would not arise. If so, that is also correct. For example: Although multiple abilities do one thing, the essential result of things is said to do one and many. This is the nature of things that arise dependent on their own cause, and it is not appropriate to question and examine how this works. Who can deny that individually determined causes will produce individual results? If it were not so, how would one know that abilities are the same? That also cannot be resolved through questioning and examination. If it is said to arise from its own cause, then what use is this now? Mere self-nature is sufficient; what use is there in examining other things? If it is said that "determined ability is related to its own cause," is this not commonly known in the world? If this common knowledge exists, then there would be no reputation of other abilities. It is only through imputation between different dharmas that have become one's own essence that one understands in this way. How is this so? Because one can also see the wisdom of other abilities in relation to ability. For example, if a thing is a cause because it possesses ability and the result is the cause, then how is the ability of ability known? Why do you not want to understand? Therefore, ability is merely understanding, because it is established through other manifestations. If ability does not exist, then how do things change from one to many? Because different abilities exist, it is reasonable to say that it arises. Here it is said: If it is not that many arise from one, it is not that some arise one from one, most fruits arise from aggregates, and one is also said to do many because it becomes two of the aggregate. The arising of fruits mostly arises from aggregates. Some arise one from one. Like this, many arise from many,
