it will become. In reality, because it is impossible to produce without benefit, the mind that produces the effect is the object to be taken. From the definition of the object to be taken, what else is there besides that object being determined by this? The mind also has that, because of that reason, that also exists in that very way. This is called the intermediate verse. Therefore, the mind is not non-object. Because of what? The near acquisition of grasping and, feeling are the characteristics of the mind's object. The mind's object itself is the near acquisition of the grasping consciousness and, feeling itself, then here, because of other subtle things etc., it is not non-object. If the near acquisition itself is the object, then the near acquisition is also one's own mind. If it is not like that, then the mind of others will also become knowable. Not grasping the mind of others, because it is not a near acquisition. Form etc., because it is not grasped by the nature of distance and subtlety etc., it is not the near acquisition of sense consciousness, this is the distinction of the object. If the mind is also not the object, then it is also just like the eyes etc., it will only not become the object. However, the mind is understood by understanding the meaning, therefore it is memory, if you say so, that is unreasonable, because it is not always possible to understand through meaning. When pillars, vases etc., are satisfied with longing, then there is a lot of distraction, understanding through meaning will not arise. Following with length and longing, for that, understanding through meaning will not arise. However, there also enters understanding through meaning. If you say so, that is not right, because there is no understanding of entering. The thing that understands meaning is, it will become a different understanding. Is this the understanding of the ultimate meaning? Or does it arise from both to be satisfied? Temporarily from meaning not from meaning, all minds will become understanding. From the understanding of meaning also say mine, that way the mind of meaning will not be understood. That both also, cannot accomplish understanding. Because of that reason, self-awareness, because it exists itself, there is self-nature awareness. If self-awareness is understood only from meaning, then only awareness itself will be understood, but not my awareness. However, meaning

If it is said to be from intelligence, isn't that intelligence itself understood by comprehending the meaning? How can it be understood by comprehending the meaning from itself? Because it would fall into the fault of mutual dependence. Since understanding unseen things is understanding through meaning, then experiencing things is also not through unseen things, so how can one understand through meaning? Therefore, both are invisible; if one is seen, then both are not seen. Its intelligence is only self-awareness; if it is not so, it cannot be established. Therefore, if it is admitted that the mind of another's manifest nature is the intelligence of another, then the previous mind, holding everything, will not shift to another object. If the mind is intelligence only by taking it closely, and not by subtlety, etc., and if it is form, etc., then how do yogis know the minds and forms, etc., of others? This is without fault, like this: Forms and so forth, and the mind are thus, This analysis of the characteristics of what is to be grasped, Is not the practice of those with impure minds, The realization of yoga is inconceivable. How do yogis know what is long and short, subtle, and the minds of others? This is not to be thought of in that way; the characteristics of what is to be grasped are what we have said by looking at the things seen on this shore. What is the use of such thoughts for yogis whose minds are completely pure? Therefore, this should be abandoned. How this is so has already been briefly explained. If one holds one's own mind, it will become permanent; how is this? If it is said that it is not holding, but that it is understood from shifting to another object, that is also unreasonable, like this: There, subtle and other natures, If they become what is to be grasped or not to be grasped, What forms and so forth were not previously on the mind, What things are born later? There, the nature of subtlety and so on, which did not exist before, does not exist. If the object has no difference, but the holding has a difference, then if it is not causal, it will not have distinctions. Therefore, if one holds one's own mind, By the immediate cause of that, Why is it that one holds that itself, Therefore, that meaning.
