If there is no fault because of entering (the object), then entering (the object) is clearly directed towards the object, and this only exists in confusion. If it is the self-nature of consciousness, then the self-consciousness of self-nature itself is the definition. And this is merely manifesting another name that has the name "non-realization." Therefore, the other is not the definition itself. Furthermore, what is the result of this valid cognition ( प्रमाण ,pramāṇa,valid cognition)? It is the realization of the object to be measured. The realization of the object to be measured depends on valid cognition, this is what is said. Is that not consciousness itself? Since that is the result, then what is valid cognition? Some say that it is the encounter of the sense faculty and the object, as well as the consciousness of view and difference. That is not reasonable, because from where the change occurs, that itself should reasonably become the establisher of realization. For the time being, is it not seen that the arising of consciousness is only from the sense faculty itself? Therefore, the establisher of realization should also be that itself, what is the use of examining others? Abandoning what is seen and going elsewhere, thinking is not reasonable. If it is not like that, then for the object to be measured, there will be endless, irremovable faults. That is impossible, because it accomplishes the task. It is said: The establisher of all actions, is not everything, but from where the result arises. Whatever arises from it, that is its establisher. If one sees that one has the ability, it is said, if one thinks that this one can also establish others, then taking away the establisher of any one, one can establish all desires, therefore all sentient beings can live easily and happily. But that is not the case, therefore, from where it is seen that the action is accomplished, that itself is its establisher, and not others. For this, merely in experience, the consciousness with similar self-nature, with what distinguishes each action, that is the change of self-nature. The Samkhya's experience is that for blue and yellow and so on, everything is merely having similarity. Therefore, either establish everything as the meaning that one wants to establish, or just like not establishing, it is also impossible to establish what should be established, because there is no difference on that. It is said like this: How it is the reality of the realizer, so it is not the realizer. When wanting that realizer, the realizer

Why not wish it to be so? If one claims ownership of something special from a state of non-action, then one will realize, "This is the agent." Even if you don't realize it, even so, will this lose its own nature? Even if it transforms into that nature, if one still doesn't understand, then at that time it will only become that I don't understand that thing. Therefore, it is not a measure. The nature of man, this world, is what knows the objects to be used. That is also because not knowing the self, enjoyment can be perfectly established. If it is said that the self is established in this way by the mind of attachment to happiness and blue, etc., then it itself is the enjoyer, so what is the need for other reasons? The nature of attachment to happiness, etc., is the very aspect of happiness, etc., so the aspect itself is the valid cognition. If it is said that the object of attachment is thought of by a man with his mind, then it should be stated what the mind is, what the attachment is, and what the man is. If it is said that the mind is the agent, attachment is the action, and the man is the doer, then since the man understands the object, he is the doer of attachment, so what is the mind for? If it is said that the establisher of attachment is the mind, and the man is the knower, then the difference between knowing and attachment is not seen. That which manifests its aspect, and attachment and knowledge are also the same. If it is said that its aspect itself is attachment, but not the manifestor, then if those are all mind, how can a person be a knower? Because it manifests things, in that case, why isn't the thing itself? If the mind with its aspect manifests, then the thing itself will become like that, so the mind of the aspect of the thing is meaningless. If it is said that the mind knows the aspect of the thing, therefore it knows that it is not a distant object, then since I am all-pervasive, everything is not a distant object. One does not understand what is called a distant object, and one also does not understand the object that is not understood from the mind with its aspect. If the thing is meaningless, then where does the mind with its aspect come from? No, if the aspect of the thing itself is desired only from the mind, then how can it become inverted? That which has not changed like one's own face is knowledge.
