The same transformation is exactly the same. The body is in accordance with the similar and dissimilar things, and the habitual imprints are the cause of different and non-different knowledge such as conceptualization. Therefore, it can be understood that the various manifestations of consciousness do not originate from the complete transformation of the body in order. Therefore, if the aggregate is the cause, then there may be differences. If not, then it is many, and this is what exists. But this is not the case. If consciousness arises from consciousness itself, then how can it not produce many consciousnesses? In response to this, it is said: Because the ability of consciousness is certain. One is the cause of the other, consciousness is attached to other things, and the incapable does not cling to other things. The nature of the similar immediate cause is the cause of one. The certainty of ability refers to the habitual imprints of the conforming action, or the difference of attachment. The consciousness that relies on the imprints, even if it is interrupted, can produce some consciousness by establishing the difference in the ability of the similar immediate cause. Some, or the similar immediate cause, is to awaken conformity. For example, relying on stable habits, without a similar immediate cause, conceptualization arises from the previous consciousness itself. Some conceptualizations, from similar immediate causes, are seen to arise nearby. Others are not because they are interrupted. The conceptualizations in which the habits of consciousness are interrupted are not seen to be produced by other things, because the difference in the realm of ability intervenes at this time. Therefore, it is reasonable to distinguish whether one or many consciousnesses arise from consciousness. If it is said that even if many consciousnesses arise from the body itself, it must be transformed from that consciousness itself. For example, even if many root consciousnesses arise, sometimes the difference in attachment to the object of attachment is itself one consciousness, just like this. In response to this, it is said: If wisdom arises from the body simultaneously, and then arises from its own kind, then what is the ability of the body?

Since that is the case, it would regress. If consciousness arises from the body, then it would always be the same, because the body's capacity is just like that. If consciousness arises because it ascertains its own capacity, but the body remains the same, then other different consciousnesses will arise. However, if that consciousness destroys the body's capacity to generate other consciousnesses, so the body does not generate other consciousnesses, that is also not the case, because this reason has not been adopted by any valid cognition. Consciousness arises from consciousness, this is determined by valid cognition. It is not the case that multiple consciousnesses arise from a body without consciousness, and later consciousness itself destroys the capacity to generate multiple consciousnesses. Therefore, if it arises from the body, even if consciousness generates one consciousness after another, since the body's capacity has not diminished, it will not generate other different consciousnesses. Who would say, now that consciousness arises from consciousness, I will not generate other consciousnesses, thereby not generating the body? There is no cause that possesses discrimination. However, in some cases it may also be like this, for example, the fruit itself destroys the cause's capacity to generate its own fruit. Multiple consciousnesses arise from the body, and after that, seeing that consciousness destroys (the capacity to generate consciousness), some people may doubt (that consciousness destroys the capacity to generate consciousness) because they see consciousness. Some people may doubt. For this reason, no reason for doubt is found, and there is no doubt without reason. The capacity that inclines towards that side comes from habituation, and the determinant of consciousness arises from habituation. Because that kind of consciousness comes from that kind of consciousness itself, when the cause and effect are established, consciousness comes from consciousness itself, so this does not arise from the body. If it arises from multiple sense consciousnesses, from that single consciousness...
