The explanation is, therefore, "Whatever is certain," etc. It is not necessarily clinging to the nature of parents, because although it does not change, it is seen as changing; although it changes, it is also seen as not changing. If it changes from its actions, it will become wise people, etc., just like a tree born from the seed of a banyan tree becomes the nature of a banyan tree. However, if parents and others act, just like the co-workers who accomplish the giver, etc., become its essence, then is the son also like that? No, because even if it is accumulated, sometimes it is not there; even if it is not like that, it is there; because it is seen to follow the actions of the previous consciousness existing in one's own continuum; because it is not seen to follow other continuums. If it is thought to follow the actions of the Khenpo, no, because if there is no it, other will not be seen, so it is from the difference of intention of the previous consciousness of one's own continuum, which is also born from one's own continuum through transmission. If it is thought to be born from manifest intention and union, although it is, even so, it is not following the actions of others without one's own wisdom. Therefore, if there is no afterlife, the following of actions will not change. Following the nature of parents, there is no contradiction with having another world. If it is certain that it follows the actions of the mind existing in one's own continuum, then how does it follow the nature of the father? The answer is, because it will become following the nature of all parents. Then, in the sect that says there is another world, will it also become not following everything? No, because in order to make the other world accustomed to its nature, it is like following the nature of the Khenpo. If just as one tree does not produce many trees, one consciousness does not produce many consciousnesses. If that is the case, will it become that all beings are born from one through transmission? This has already been explained.
