The very nature of things is invisible. Therefore, the so-called "support" and "supported" are merely conceptualizations. Now, how does it happen that even the things that are conceived as support and supported become invisible? Then, it would become a reversed conceptualization. Furthermore, the arising of those that perish in each moment and are born in other places, in the place of close proximity, is caused by the support and connection. Because they arise in that way from it, the earth and so on are the support, because they are the cause. By clinging to the previous and subsequent ones as one, in special cases, the cause itself is called the support. If it is clung to as one, it is not understood as arising, and also clinging to holding the previous one, therefore, due to the power of beginningless habit, it is perceived as reversed. For that very reason, since it enters through the habit of the previous previous one, therefore, the undesired falls upon us because the other world of beginningless continuity is established. Like this: With the nature of having no object, all the mind's conceptualizations arise from previous knowledge, just like perceiving water in a mirage. Perceiving the previous and the subsequent as one is following the nature of having no object, because it is not one. Things change from many things, because one sees its fruit. If you say that, that is not so. Perceiving water in a mirage is not just that reason, because it arises from the intention of having seen water before, oneness was not an object before either. Therefore, in other births also, it is perceived as one, that is, holding as one by other births is prior, and that is also like that, therefore, it is a beginningless succession of conceptualizations, therefore, the continuum of beings is established without beginning. Similarly, the continuum of mind that has clinging to self and so on becomes like that without beginning, and also it will not cease later, therefore, samsara has no beginning and no end. Furthermore, because of the obstruction of pouring, water and so on become the support, what support is needed for the general sentient beings and qualities, for actions? For water and so on, pouring

It is said that genus is the cause and condition that creates obstacles. What need is there for a support for those who lack qualities, generality, and action, and who do not possess a goer? Is the mind generality, quality, and action, or something else? In any case, since it is without action in every way, there is no need for a support for it. Therefore, the mind that is not dependent is not destroyed because it is not a support. It is merely co-existent, and how it is co-existent has already been shown. If, just as it is not a goer, qualities are assembled by combination, so too the mind is gathered by combination. Qualities gathered by combination do not exist without the cause of combination, and if that is destroyed, then it itself is destroyed. If it is said that without obstacles such as going, there is no object of support and supported, and without an object of support and supported, there is no combination, because the reason for the thought of "here" by the support and supported that are established without being separate is said to be combination. This itself is stated: This is the combination, the cause of combination, the very place of existence of genus and so forth, because there is no support, it is clear. Although genus and so forth are assembled by combination, if there is no clarity that becomes a support, then it is not non-existent. If it is said that genus is permanent, and therefore it is non-existent because there is no support, the mind is also the same because it is connected with another cause. The object of support and supported also does not exist. Because this clarity has abandoned the object of support and supported, the combination is abandoned, and the cause of combination is also abandoned, for if that is the cause, then it is not the object of support and supported, and at that time the cause of combination itself does not exist. Whatever is said to be the existence of genus and so forth without a cause is also abandoned. Or, although existence itself is a combination, that itself is the abandonment of combination. Although genus is assembled by combination with clarity, it is not itself abiding, because it also follows other clarity. Likewise, the mind is assembled by combination.
