It is not, even without water, the continuation of Salu will not stop. The difference in the state of sprouts etc. is water, so if it returns to it, it will stop. Therefore, water is the proximate cause. From water etc., the seeds of Salu transform from the gate of transformation, and sprouts etc. transform from top to top. Therefore, even without change, it will transform, so this body is not the proximate cause of consciousness. As it is said: If a thing does not change, what thing can transform, it is not a proximate cause, like calves and non-cows. Although the body does not change, consciousness changes, so the body is not its proximate cause. Therefore, if the body stops, it will not stop. Because it changes, it is not unchanging, just like cows and non-cows etc. The difference in the state of non-cow, non-cow, and cow is some kind of cause, but when it stops, the difference in state itself will not change, but the continuation will not stop. If calves and non-cows are not proximate causes and things with proximate causes, so they are not reversible and reversers, then how can the body and mind be understood? Other faults are not other faults. If it is not a proximate cause, then it will certainly not exist at the same time, just like the cause of Salu etc. and water, if you say so, then say this: The mind and body are also the same. That cause works together, the fruit of birth dwells together, like the melting of fire and copper. Here, it is not established otherwise, because the mind and body are also not proximate causes and things with proximate causes in the same way. Just like calves and non-cows, they only help each other in some way, and without a doubt, the transformation of the body itself will not cause the mind to transform. Therefore, the body is not the proximate cause, so even if it stops, the mind will not stop. The proximate cause of the cause of state, such as fire etc. is the cause, when the state maker returns.

Only that state changes. Whatever is the cause of the continuum, that is the proximate cause. Therefore, this changing continuum is a changing continuum. When the fire goes out, the melting of the copper also changes. The mind is with the body, at that time, time and ability will exist, in order to act together, just like the melting of fire and copper. If it is not that cause, then the result of the two, the mind exists like gold. Just as the melting of copper acting together with fire is the proximate cause, the melting of fire and copper exists together, similarly, the mind that cherishes the body also arises from the mind that acts together, and the body also arises from the minute parts of the body that act together with the mind. Therefore, the result of birth exists together. Just as it is said: In order to act together, because it becomes a collection, there is no unreasonableness in the two results existing together. The cause of the body, the name of minute parts, etc., is the co-actor of the mind. The mind is also the co-actor of the object, therefore the result of the characteristics of body and mind, birth exists together, just like the melting of fire and copper. If the body changes, because it is the particularity of another body, or because it is the mind without a body, it will not change, just like the continuum of gold. However, if the particularity of the continuum of grain arises from water, etc., then if the water changes, it will also change. If fire, etc., damages the proximate cause, then the cause itself will change. Similarly, if the proximate cause of the mind is damaged by something, will the continuum also change? Or, just as the species of Saluka arises from dissimilar cow dung, will it initially arise from the body? Here it says: The proximate cause of grain, etc., will be destroyed by fire, etc. The proximate cause of consciousness will not be harmed by anything. Initially, consciousness is not seen to arise from the body. Without harm to the proximate cause, the mind will not change. The proximate of the continuum of grain
