Therefore, it can be inferred that consciousness relies on consciousness of the same kind. Because consciousness exists even in the formless realm, and it also shows the existence of consciousness. Alternatively, consciousness does not arise without sense faculties. Even so, it cannot be said that there is no afterlife, because there is a relationship of mutual dependence. The explanation for this is: If it is said that consciousness without sense faculties does not exist, that is also because there are no sense faculties. Even so, they are mutually causal, and therefore they are also mutually related by cause and effect. Just as you see, without a body possessing sense faculties, consciousness does not arise. Similarly, it must be admitted that these sense faculties do not exist without consciousness, because the reason for admitting it is that what is seen is the same. If this is the case, then it will fall into the fault of being mutually causal, because the two help each other. The collection of mutually causal things is also generated from other collections. That collection should also know that the bodies and minds of the past and future lives are mutually causal, just like the intermediate stage. If the body is the basis of consciousness, and not consciousness is the basis of the body, then does consciousness arise from a sequential body, or from a non-sequential body? Because there is no other possibility. To this, first of all, it does not arise from a non-sequential body, like this: Without sequence, there is no sequence, Without difference, there is no dependence. If consciousness arises sequentially from the body, Then its sequence should be clearly shown. This consciousness is sequential. If it is not so, then when holding the aspect of "I", because it holds all the natures of the past, future, and present, it will fall into holding the entire birth. Alternatively, if one does not hold the stages, one cannot understand the past and future pervading. If the stages are not held, How can one understand the stages? If other pervaded things are not held, Then there is no understanding of the pervader. If the stages are not understood because of what has arisen and what will arise, that is because the pervaded is not understood. How can one understand it in the same way as pervading? Even if one does not understand its nature, it will not be so, because it itself

To establish other things as other things themselves, that is enlightenment. If this is not realized as pervasive, then it will become realizing it as another nature. Therefore, because there is no existence in other times now, there is no other realization that arises as having other times. Therefore, it is realization as having sequence, therefore, sequential does not arise from non-sequential. If it is said that even if the cause is not sequential, the effect should become like that, how is that possible? Only that which is not different from the cause is not the effect, because differences are also seen. If asked like that, here it is said: If the effect is from non-sequence, then at that time everything will change. Because at that time it is completely perfect, so at other times it is not there. If it is clung to at the time of the effect, then it will become without effect. At that time, non-realization is not its cause. If it is realized, then because it is one, because the ultimate of destruction is realized, at that time it will perish, then it will become non-sequential. Therefore, after destruction, the effect does not arise, or even if it arises, it is not the effect. However, if the cause is sequential because of sequential realization, then it is not non-sequential now. Realizing as blue itself is not not blue. Or: The effect is not said to arise from the nature of the cause, but rather the cause and effect themselves arise from following and opposing. Even if the effect is not the same as the cause, it is only the effect, because the cause and effect themselves are the characteristics of the followers of following and opposing. For that which has no following and opposing, that is neither cause nor effect. Whatever has such a cause and does not arise, that is not the doer itself at the time of the cause. If it is only said that it will not arise without it, that will not become the effect. If asked, what is the necessity of this sentence "it will definitely change"? If it exists but is not there, if it is not there, then where does this non-existence come from? This non-existence is done by that non-existence, where does this come from? If even this has the ability of the cause but does not change, then,

It will not become its cause. Then, how is it understood to say, "This non-existence is caused by that non-existence"? Just as it does not arise by itself when its state itself has a cause, so too, if it does not exist, it will become that it does not arise by itself, because it is autonomous. If it is under the control of a cause, then, if there is power, it will definitely arise. The non-existence of things, even if it changes by itself, because it is under the control of other things, how can it not arise from a cause? It is reasonable to think that things do not exist because they change by themselves without a cause. It is unreasonable to say that things are under the control of a cause, and if there is the power of a cause, they will not change. If it is said that the absence of a result is autonomous, therefore, it is reasonable to be absent even when there is a cause, if that is the case, then saying that it is absent is absent, because its absence is not caused by the absence of a cause. How can it become the result of this? Therefore, it does not arise by itself. If something cannot be prevented by something, then it is not determined by it, therefore, just as it does not arise by itself, it will also arise, therefore, it is not a result. When there is a cause, it is inevitable that it arises, at that time, even if it stops naturally by itself, it is because it produces other moments. If it does not exist, then it is interrupted, therefore, it is connected with the cause. Therefore, the sequential does not arise from the non-sequential. Or, will the sequential result also arise from the non-sequential that depends on the co-action of the sequential? That is also impossible, because there is no particularity, and there is no dependence. It is impossible to establish particularity, and in order to obtain particularity, it does not depend on anything. Because it has no particularity. Even if there is particularity, it is impermanent. Even if it is admitted that particularity is different, the result that depends on that particularity will arise from that particularity itself, not from the permanent dharma. If it is said that that particularity is its own, that is not correct, because the so-called particularity is to make it particular, or to recognize particularity. It is not to make it particular, because it has no particularity. From particularity to becoming particular
