That eighth teaching is not present for those with valid cognition. Without valid cognition, for teachings close to permanence, etc., there is no other basis than the eighth teaching. If valid cognition has completely determined things, how can there be doubt that it does not understand? Even if doubt arises, it will lead to demons devouring flames, because valid cognition has determined it. Or, even if valid cognition has seen it, it is not certain that it will manifest. If that is the case, then it will become like this: whoever shows valid cognition, like this doubting and watching silently, if it arises, what is there to say for the heretics? The Blessed One, the Tathagata, speaks of what is seen by valid cognition. For those heretics who do not follow complete understanding, what is there to value? Therefore, because he speaks of the meaning seen by valid cognition, the Blessed One is valid cognition itself. Ascending to heaven and liberation, or the Vedas, are the valid cognition of humans. For other things that are not completely understood, that is its existence. Therefore, for its wisdom, one should strive to understand and analyze. Knowing the number of its worms is not necessary for chasing and grasping. Like this, this is the obstacle to understanding the Dharma, the only thing that should be refuted. All that is prevented by others, who will prevent it? If, because of understanding one aspect, it is thought that the Tathagata is omniscient, then it should be examined. Fire is the enemy of snow, etc., because it changes in addition to not deceiving, it will become endless. If that change is not, because they contradict each other, it is impossible to establish it accordingly. That is also not true. What should be accepted and abandoned, knowing it in a convenient way, when one wants valid cognition itself, not omniscience. Because the purpose of a person is to know one aspect of the characteristics, merely by this it will not become omniscient, knowing a part of the purpose of a person, for some people, much is impossible. Among them, what should be accepted and abandoned is suffering and the truth of cessation. The entirety of the truth is suffering and the truth of cessation themselves.

Now, the cause is the origin of suffering (Samudaya Satya), and the path is the truth of the path (Marga Satya). Therefore, understanding the nature of the Four Noble Truths, and the understanding established by valid cognition (pramana), is what is meant by 'pramana.' Oh, ladder to heaven! Also, it is possible to decide through valid cognition. The wonders created by women and commoners are also not absent in the teachings of the Sugata (Buddha). Therefore, understanding the main benefit of a person is valid cognition, because other things are unreasonable. Therefore, whether one can see far or not, seeing what is desired is important. If far-seeing is valid cognition, then please summon the vulture and show it. Just saying there is far-seeing does not mean one understands everything. If that were the case, vultures and others would also be so, so please take the vulture and the pig that hears from afar as attendants. If that were so, all paths of reasoning would be abandoned. However, is seeking the wisdom of this person's benefit impossible to understand all things, or is it completely meaningless? It is not so, because: Those who understand all things do not prevent omniscience. We cannot know, so we want to know enough. Because it is not understanding everything, it is not knowing omniscience, because there is no method. For example: The so-called understanding of everything arises from the knowledge of what is known. One part of it is fully known, and it is established from that knowing itself. Knowing women, commoners, and common trees, etc., is also desired from the knowing itself whether others know or not, because if one does not know oneself, there is no way to say that he knows. Those great ones who have seen far into the distance, it is possible to understand all things, because fully knowing one part is a prerequisite. Their possibility of that is also from something other than that. However, for the valid cognition of the nature of both, from what does establishment come, and what is the cause? It is said: The cause of establishment is the habituation of compassion, because intelligence depends on the body. What is the cause of establishment of that valid cognition? It is from the habituation of compassion.
