For 'pa', if there is no distinction of self-nature, then the function as a result should not be approximately represented either. The same applies to Ishvara; the word 'also' should be placed in another order. Just as there is a difference in what is done by potters and others, if what is done by Ishvara also changes, then his power can be recognized. Because the permanent does not change, it is difficult to recognize power. Because it is permanent and pervasive, there is no change. If something exists, something will change. Other than these, it is the cause of those. If it is recognized, then for everything, the causes will not be exhausted. Like the visible potters and others, if there is karma, then the manifest desire will arise. Even so, if others are recognized, then for all results, the causes will not be exhausted, and it will not reach the ultimate. If a cognition without subsequent following goes after cognition, then there is no obstacle for others. Or it is not new, but the old one remains. Because the cause of causes is also that, other actions become meaningless. Then, just as the permanent earth is the cause of sprouts and so on, is Ishvara also like that? If it is said that there is no initial determination for earth and so on, then the answer to this is: earth and so on can grow sprouts, because the self-nature completely changes, so it is the cause, and if it is done well, its difference can be seen. Barley sprouts and so on can see the following and association of the difference of changes such as the function of plowing. Earth and so on are recognized as causes. Again, arguing and answering: if, like objects and senses, the collection has no difference, it is the cause of mind, if it is like that, then it is not, because there is also a difference there. If there is no continuous difference, then each has no ability, and even if they are collected, they will become powerless, therefore the difference is established. For the eyes and so on, it is determined to be the cause from the difference of the self-nature of the fruit itself. The fruit, that is, consciousness, is the determination of each form, has the appearance of form, and has the self-nature of cognition. Therefore, these mutually abandon, and differences arise through approximate combination.

Because they exist, the eye and so on are the cause of the fruit, which is the arising of consciousness. Because these, individually, have no power to produce consciousness. From the eye, there is no nature of awakening; from form, there is no separate certainty of grasping form; from attention, it is not other, because from each one, there is no seeing. However, when the eyes are opened, other forms appear and abide, and if other forms are seen, then the eye has no special characteristic at that time. Similarly, in the very presence of form, other eye consciousnesses arise. Similarly, if it is said that the Lord also always remains in the same state, and because other existences arise, it is not the substance of the cause, then it has already been said that the sky and so on would also become the substance of the cause. From the difference between the eye and form, consciousness has a difference, and because of that, form and so on are the cause. From the characteristics of being completely clear and unclear, etc., from the difference of form, consciousness arises possessing pleasantness, etc.; similarly, from the difference of half-closed eyes, etc., it transforms into the difference of being unclear, etc. That is because it is related to that, so it is understood to be the result of that cause, and similarly, there is no reason to consider the Lord as the cause. Therefore, "If there is no difference in the constant," means that there is no difference in the constant. Those who are individually powerless, even when assembled, will become powerless. Yes, how can the very nature that is the opposite of the cause become the cause? What answer is there to this question? If it is considered that form and so on are the cause, since the cause is stated, there is no fault. Therefore, those who are individually powerless, when assembled, may produce qualities, those are the cause, the Lord and so on are not, because there is no difference. This is the refutation of the Lord. If the Lord does not have the cause of completely knowing, etc., does not make it known or produce it, then it will not transform into something else either, like this: a valid cognition is the knowledge of hidden meanings, because there is no establishment of its function, therefore there is no effort.
