It is unrelated. Like an impermanent crow. Here, others say: If the dung that is done beforehand is not seen to occur subsequently, then the shape and so on itself will not become an argument. However, what is expressed by the words "shape, shape," and so on, is what occurs subsequently. Therefore, if they have the same characteristics, are they established as one result? No, it is not. For example: Dharmas that are merely established by concepts, are far from the proximity of meaning. If that meaning exists, then it will become whatever you want it to be. That which is completely established from other kinds, from seeing the generality of sound, arguments are not suitable, etc., because it is a cow, so it is like having horns. Characteristics that are inconsistent with etc., are related to horns that are completely established in other kinds. Is it to be inferred merely because the word "cow" is different? Even if the meaning is the same, it is said that it cannot be inferred from gray. If the meaning does not exist either, then why is it necessary to say that the sound is the same? For the time being, meaning is indeed related to what is manifestly intended to be proven. Even so, if those with subtle understanding say that this is not an argument, then for those things that are so far removed from the object of proof, what need is there to mention the same sound? For example: Because what is intended to be expressed is subject to others, all sounds in any case prove to be impermanent. These sounds are not to be expressed in any case, because there is no restriction on all that is intended to be expressed. If meaning is established from that, then nothing will be separated from the establishment of meaning. Therefore, this is not what others have promised. This refers to the Vaisheshikas and so on, because of impermanence and so on, there is no mind. If life and bark are peeled off, why is it necessary to examine those with mind? The Vaisheshikas and so on have no mind, or from where else could they ascend to the top of a strong palace? This is easy, because it is not true in meaning, so it is merely an approximate arrangement of the same sound. For example: Impermanence itself, for the Samkhyas, is not established as a thing. That is because the meanings are not clear, so there is no following, nor is it destruction. The impermanence that is not manifest is not established for the Buddhists. So what is it? Following

It is destruction without growth. If destruction and non-manifestation are the same as kalpa, then what is kalpa? If it is said to be non-manifest, then rabbit horns and the chief thing, etc., will also become impermanent. If existence is the nature of non-manifestation, then the chief thing, etc., will also change. If it is said that appearance becomes non-manifest, then what is appearance? If it is the essence of things, how can appearance become non-appearance? If it is abandoned, the very nature of things will disappear. Or, if the nature of appearance is different from things, then how can it not perish without following it? If there is no other, the other will not become a kalpa either. Moreover, at all times, because it is the same as the chief thing, it will not become impermanent. Therefore, merely inferring from sound is accepted as proof. Peeling the skin will cause death is also the same. If peeling all the skin will cause death, then the sound of death is valid. The cessation of consciousness, etc., is because the Buddha realized death. For whom there is no consciousness in trees, that will also die in the same way. The Buddha doubts that there is consciousness in trees, so why would he not doubt death, which is the nature of cessation that has already passed? The cessation of consciousness is not produced from the absence of consciousness. Life is also the same, because it is said that life is life, warmth, and the basis of consciousness. If death is admitted, how can one not admit that it is sentient? Therefore, this is saying that these trees withering is death. Moreover, this is not a definite proof of consciousness, because it can also be seen in mud, etc. If it is said that because the sound of death exists, it is also established in it, then it has already been said that this is because it is dominated by other things that one wants to express. Or, if one wants to express it there because one sees the meaning, then there is no fault in this, if death is established, then its sound will be proven to be related. Since sound is related, death can be proven from there. If such death arises from seeing, then consciousness, etc., can be proven from sound.
