It is for seeing together, to prove that happiness and suffering are experienced simultaneously. If it is said that there will be changes from clear fabrication, that is not the case, because other fabrications other than habit have not been seen. If happiness and so on arise from the power of meditation, then it has already been shown that it is the nature of enlightenment at that time. However, if it is said that consciousness enters by the power of habituation to happiness and so on, and that happiness and so on arise from the cause of form and so on, this is also unreasonable. As it is said: For the consciousness that arises from the power of things, the wise do not accept habituation. If that is the case, it will become irrelevant. If happiness and so on are near, then they can be seen even without habituation. Something that has not been thought of before or has not been experienced, at the same time, will not become an object of focus. If there is a habit of interruption for that too, then what प्रमाण(pramāṇa,measure, प्रमाण, प्रमाण, pramana, measure) is there for this? Furthermore, without the habituation of the aspect of the object, consciousness will not become habituated, because it cannot be merely habituated. If consciousness arises from the power of habituation, then there is dependence on the object and so on. However, it arises from habituation together with the object. If that is the case, the aspect of the object will also arise from the power of habituation. If that is the case, like dreams and so on, consciousness will become separate from the object, therefore, in order to prove that happiness and so on are separate from consciousness, and also to prove that the object is not the nature of an external object. Others are very concerned about refuting other views. They think that happiness and suffering do not arise at the same time, as it is said: If the inner proximate consciousness also exists, then suffering and so on will arise. If it is said that that unique consciousness is not a contradictory proximate cause, then what will be the proximate cause of the consciousness's lack of understanding, will it become the master? That can also be seen in the contradictory master. For example, one nose is the cause of smell, and other senses, just like seeing form and inconsistency and consistency at the same time. If happiness and so on arise depending on the proximate cause of the previous consciousness, then at that time.

If someone thinks that it is impossible for the proximate cause of two contradictory things to be one, however, it is reasonable, because knowledge is also seen in contradictory things such as suffering. If someone says that it is not the proximate cause of contradictory things, if so, how does consciousness become the proximate cause of non-consciousness? The so-called entity of the proximate cause does not refer to this, but rather refers to the fact that the causes are the sole masters of the result, and this also exists in contradictory things. For example, from one manifestation of habit, it can cause damage to the eyes of owls and other animals, while it can have different effects on another animal. Therefore, happiness, etc. transferred to oneself, the meaning of appearance and one's own master, these cognizing things, are merely born from meaning. If happiness, etc., are not the nature of awakening, but are born from form, etc., and arise simultaneously with consciousness, then, because the desired and undesired objects always appear, happiness and suffering will be cognized simultaneously. If according to your view, why wouldn't it be so? No, because the awakening of habit is different from before. Just like the discrimination of form, etc., at certain times, certain things are the cause of the awakening of certain habits. If you also think so, that is not right, because in this way, if habit arises from power, then it will become discrimination. Habit, memory, and recognition are considered to be the cause of oneself. If memory, etc., are also not cognized by their own nature, then, because meaning itself will appear. There, the nature of color and shape, the nature of meaning itself will appear. There, the other nature of knowledge will not become the object of cognition. Therefore, if all wisdom is hidden, then, if it exists there, in the realm of the appearance of meaning itself, that meaning will be related to grasping like perception. The meaning that appears with its own nature should not be non-perception, because appearing with its own nature is perception itself. Because there is no other definition of perception. If so, there will be no difference between perception and memory. However, it appears as the previous and the hidden.
