It is unreasonable to say that it arises from familiarizing oneself with antidotes such as detachment from desire, and that it can also arise from other than that. Furthermore: By what is the power of mastery achieved, and for what purpose is effort made to be free from desire? The ability to bestow supreme gifts is not possessed by such a person. If he does not possess that ability, how can others possess it? The ability to subsequently embrace becomes immeasurable in him. This meaning is also true: even if it is impermanent, it is still not a measure. Because there is no measure in this, it is immeasurable. Its essence is immeasurable, which is the word that there is no measure in it. However, by gradually pleasing and so forth, teaching the Dharma with the aspect of near pacification, this is what causes subsequent embracing. If it is not like that, then it cannot be subsequently embraced. If asked: That is not so, like this, by following and practicing what he said, who in the world can realize subsequent embracing? If it is said that it is only by his teachings, then it becomes mutually dependent. Because he said it, it is a teaching, and because it is a teaching, it is also his saying. Because they are mutually dependent, how can one remain in that? Furthermore, his ability is like this: from what cause did it come? This is its nature, from what is it realized? That ability of the nature of seeing and subsequently embracing all things, from what cause did it arise? If here, the nature of the thing that arose in that way is answered. Like this: Is this like this or not, to whom should one ask? The burning fire is not the sky, what is there to argue and investigate in this? This is extremely unreasonable, if one argues and contemplates what is established in the direct perception of nature, then this kind of answer should be given: Seeing is not unreasonable, this is not what is seen. Like this: What is the meaning of answering with the nature of things here? This is established by direct perception and other valid cognitions, so this is not the object of arguing and investigating how it is. How in direct perception, fire burns what is to be burned and focuses on it, just like arguing and investigating how it is.

Yes. If it is only due to the elements (འབྱུང་བ་,bhūta, the five great elements) themselves, then the sky would also be burned. However, if the self-natures are determined separately, if that is the case, then would it be correct to say that Īśvara (དབང་ཕྱུག་) is the same as having qualities even without possessing any cause of qualities? No, it is not the same, because fire is visible, and the others are the opposite. Therefore, this answer is not correct. If it is not like that, one's own manifest desire is accomplished, and to that, others have made no answer, saying that the answer is the nature of things, in this way everything will be victorious. Therefore, even if it is impermanent, by the word "also," permanence is also not a valid measure, this is well said. If there is a valid measure, how can the cause be established from the result, such as the difference in staying, entering, shape, and doing things, and the nature of the result from the result? If it is not like that, then there will be no inference for other causes either. Like this, in order to accomplish something that is manifestly desired, staying and staying and entering is due to the blessing of a cause with intelligence, for example, doing shapes and so on, like an axe and so on. An axe and so on does not enter by itself. Even if it enters, it will always enter, and entering after staying is also the same. Therefore, there must be someone who enters with realization. Similarly, whatever has the difference of shape, such as roundness and so on, that is what produces the one with mind, like a pot and so on. Similarly, whatever does the action, that is driven by the object with mind, like a pot and so on, if you say so. The explanation for this is: the difference of staying, entering, shape, and doing things, etc., either accomplish the desired, or the example is not established, or there is doubt. Wanting to manifest as a result, staying and entering, etc., all of these are not correct reasons, because even if these exist, they only accomplish the desired, that is, accomplish what is already established. What is already established is not the subject, because what is not established is the subject. It is reasonable to establish the means of accomplishment in order to accomplish the thing that is in dispute.
