Now, specifically excluding those beings with various forms, not relying on other different meanings, and different from other meanings, dwelling on the path of names and drowning in the ocean of samsara, distinctions are made through examination. If the differences in color and shape are not different, then how does a blue vase become different from a non-blue vase? If color and shape, etc., are not different, then in that case, blue will not reverse from non-blue, because the non-blue with the nature of shape must become blue, because shape is not different from the color blue. There are also cases where shape, etc., are non-blue, therefore, these are different, which appears differently in the world. If that is the case, then will the difference become the ultimate truth? Arrangement by mere conceptualization is not reasonable as the ultimate truth. If white itself, etc., appears not to be the nature of shape, then it will become different in the ultimate truth. Gathering in one meaning is the cause of appearing as not different, if someone says that even if it is different, it appears as not different, then, do form and taste, which gather in one meaning, not also appear as different? If someone says that for this, it should be grasped by different sense faculties, if gathering can make difference not appear, then it is difficult to establish grasping by different sense faculties. The statement that it appears as not different because the object is the same is uncertain for form and taste, etc. Similarly, distinguishing variegated colors, etc., from the cow itself, etc., and distinguishing yellowish colors, etc., from variegated colors themselves, etc., and the differences of Khuyu, etc., are established by conceptualization, which is existent. Among them, in some cases, the subject of dharma is considered different from form, etc., like a vase. If there is no vase with limbs, then when successively grasping form and taste, it will not be considered a vase. In some cases, the dharma is considered different, if there is no non-difference and the cow itself without difference, then the variegated colors, etc., and things that are not different from it will not become different. Similarly, it also applies to other situations. Therefore, the reversing

It is established as distinct based on differences. Is the distinctiveness that possesses concomitance (Sanskrit: anvaya) not distinct in itself? If that concomitance is preceded by direct perception (Sanskrit: pratyakṣa), then it is true. For example, fire that appears in direct perception is understood through inference, and it becomes just like that. The distinctiveness of dharma and dharmin is never like that. If it appears, then what is the use of inference? This is the same for fire. Is inference done at other times, etc.? It becomes the same here as well. However, is it always necessary to infer here? That is not the case. When it is always necessary to infer, by what is that example established? If it is established by another inference, then it is a chain of blind men. However, the distinctness of things like pots from things like felt is an example. Like this, whatever has concomitance and contraposition (Sanskrit: vyatireka), those are distinct. For example, like felt and a cart. Are color and shape also like that? No, because concomitance is apprehended there by direct perception. There, it is also not distinct from concomitance and contraposition. So, how is it? It is simply because they appear simultaneously distinct. However, without concomitance and contraposition, would it become a variety of appearances, but not distinct? If that is the case, then it is simply because it appears distinct from anything. However, because there is no concomitance and contraposition, it would lead to non-duality, so it is very clear that establishing distinctness is unreasonable. Or, because they appear unmixed, things like pots exist distinctly. For shapes, etc., that is not the case. They are not the same as felt, etc. The concomitance of things like a cow itself is not understood by direct perception, so that is not distinct, because there is no concomitance. Because they possess a unified understanding, those are called concomitance. If that is the case, then is the object of unified understanding a universal (Sanskrit: sāmānya) that is different from distinct things? No, because the object of unified understanding does not appear as distinct. How can there be a unified understanding for distinct things? Here it is said, seeing
