If it is argued that it is with parts because it is understood by parts, that is not correct, because there is no valid cognition. How can those understood as mutually exclusive be one? This distinction between each other is made by grasping, but the grasped is only one. If that is the case, then all differences disappear, and it becomes only non-duality. Moreover, because no difference appears from that, all phenomena are emptiness. Saying "what is seen is what is touched" is valid cognition. Therefore, is it with parts that have become the object of appearance? Because parts do not exist, it becomes merely appearance. If this is exhausted only in appearance, then it would be too much to say that it is only consciousness. How are all phenomena emptiness? To this, it is said: Completely cutting off the inside, like an external object. Abiding in this is another part. Having undifferentiated consciousness, the appearance of difference is false. If this is self-awareness, even if it is consciousness, it should not appear as different, because it is the ultimate of one's own nature. If it is self-awareness, then it is not other-awareness, therefore it will not appear as different. If it is indeed mutual awareness, and it is certain that it is different, then, regarding that point, because of individual awareness, the valid cognition will become another continuum. Similarly, I say that I have cut off, this statement does not exist in non-self-awareness. If those consciousnesses are, both self and others are aware, self and others are aware, then oneself will become self-aware. When one knows one's own nature, one will not enter into knowing others. Or self-awareness does not exist, and mutually only others are aware. If that is the case, just as giving and offering are completely cut off, it will not become two awarenesses. Nor will it be said "I know this," because the agent is not self-aware, so it will not appear. Therefore, those themselves will become self-aware. If that is the case, just as it is understood by another continuum, it will not become two understandings. Others say that precisely because of this, I want to understand both, if it is not so, it will become this fault. To this, it is explained: Self-awareness and the other, because it has not exceeded the previous reason.

Again, refuting and examining: This is not the final conclusion. If the self is the essence of self-luminosity, then it is not other-luminosity, because it abides in its own self-nature. Furthermore, if there is a contradiction in awareness, what is it? Either it is the very nature itself or the otherness itself, one must abide in one of these two conceptualizations. It is not reasonable to say that awareness is by its own nature, because its own nature is completely abiding in itself. How can a nature that abides in its own essence and manifests to itself then touch other things? If it is through other things, then there one does not realize one's own self-nature, therefore, just as it is realized by other continuums, it will not become both that can be realized. If it is said that those two manifested things are the same, then who is it that holds the conceptualization that "this is two"? If it is said that it is itself, then it must again become two manifested things, therefore it will become endless. Therefore, the self-nature of self-awareness will become three. Therefore, one must admit that awareness has self and other, and because that is also other, it will become a meaningless great lineage. Therefore, from experience, awareness is one, therefore, in the wisdom without difference, the appearance of difference is a mistake, because wisdom also does not realize its own essence, therefore it is merely non-existence, so only emptiness will remain. Like this: Because one of them does not exist, both will disappear. Therefore, whatever is empty of both, that is it, and it is itself. If one thinks that abandoning one will become merely awareness, then, if one abandons appearance, either both will be like that, or nothing at all, this is the only certainty. If it is said that both depend on change, that is not so, because it has already been answered, because it has been shown that there is no self-awareness and it is not other-awareness. Therefore, it is reasonable to think that only emptiness is good. Now, the meaning of emptiness will be explained according to the tenets of the Madhyamaka, the Yogacara, and those who claim that external objects exist. Form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness,
