If it is said that it is the reason for establishing something similar to sharpness, then how is it established here for the seen blue and so on? If it is said that it is because of proximity, then holding closely is only rational when holding simultaneously, but not when holding gradually. If it is said that it is because that object is held, then holding that object, there is no holding of various things for the previous and later things. If it is said that it changes due to establishment, that is unreasonable, because that is what should be thought about. If it is said that because the difference is not held, it appears as something to be held in memory, then how does one hold another as another? That is completely abandoning the nature of what should be remembered, and holding the appearance itself, if it is determined, it is not mixed. If it is said that mixing is the nature of holding, if that is the case, then the fault of one holding many will occur, but that is not what is desired. Because through the function of the eye, everything can be known, therefore, this speculation of fools marked by the defilement of unrelated knowledge is enough, it is said. Therefore, one meaning has many, because when considering one meaning, other things are also seen, therefore, it is also established that there is no consideration. When blue and so on appear as various things with their own nature, although one may separately consider this is blue, in the end, one sees the yellow and so on that remain there. Multiple distinctions do not arise simultaneously. If it is said that it is only possible to separately consider as multiple, that is not the case, because there is no certainty. Undoubtedly, it is multiple. It is unreasonable to consider it in this way, because one also sees the consideration of one. Even so, all the aspects of blue and so on that exist simultaneously are one mind with various aspects. There is also an argument about this: For things that appear in various ways, if it is said that one is unreasonable, then for the time being, how does just one mind appear as multiple? This is explaining: Since you have already admitted that the mind is a variety of differences, then if it is the same later, then what distinguishes it? Because the mind is multiple, the multiple nature of things is the nature of residing on it, how can the mind not change?

If, because it is diverse, it is said that it is not one, then this is not determined by the nature of consciousness itself. Saying this: Howsoever one contemplates the meaning, so too is it free from distinctions. Whatever the wise have said, that comes from the power of things. If one becomes diverse, what will that become? That cannot be established even in the mind. If one wants to seek the real meaning here, then what can I do? The meaning is this: if it is one, then the mind is not diverse either. Because there are many different forms in it, it will become many, because the characteristic of things is form. If one holds many different forms, then things will inevitably become many. Therefore, if there are so many minds, then there will be punishment for the later statement. If the mind is not many, then each atom will have so many minds, so it will fall into the fault of holding atoms. Because they do not understand each other, and there is no other knower, they will also become incomprehensible. Self-knowers do not understand many, because they will also fall into the fault of appearing other continuums. That is not existent, because it is seen with one's own eyes. Saying that seeing with one's own eyes is not reasonable, that is not existent. Then it is not self-knowing, because it is mutual understanding. No, because without self-knowing, understanding is impossible. That will also become the expresser. If it is self-knowing, then there is no doubt about other-knowing. If you want to know what is many? Nothing, because there is no knower different from it. Therefore, minds are not one, nor are they many. If it is one, then there will be no diversity, and this is very clear for many. Therefore, how things are thought, so they will be observed, what can be done about this? Therefore, as it is said in the scriptures, consciousness is empty of consciousness, so it can be inferred that all dharmas are emptiness. If, because of the conceptualizations of one and many, how can appearance itself become non-existent? Even if distinguished, it is only appearance. Like illusions and mirages, even if they do not exist, there is no fault. Those also
