If it were not so, then holding onto the connection would be unnecessary for subsequent inference. That connection is only held onto in the state of unfamiliarity; otherwise, it is not. Therefore, from terms like analysis, it is not merely inference. Because this so-called term is also observed in other ways. If it were not so, for a woman with beauty, because one sees a desirous person approaching, then from that, even one without beauty would be inferred to have beauty. Therefore, in other discriminations, because it is clear that at the time of naming, there is no holding onto the observed sound, the discrimination arising from that is also nonexistent. If direct perception itself does not hold onto the connection with sound, then how can one use language by saying, "Its expression is this"? It is not so, because language can also arise from illusion. Even if it is an illusion, because it is related to things, it is valid cognition, like the knowledge that grasps trees as spherical. There, although there is no such thing as a sphere, the term 'tree' is non-deceptive. Similarly, although there is no such thing as a combination, the term 'having a combination' is correct. Like this, when one recognizes "This is a cow," the sound of 'cow' means that this is what is being expressed. Therefore, this cognition is non-deceptive, because it is seen as connecting to the object as it is. For example, the cognition of a sphere arises on the object of a tree, but not on other objects; therefore, it is non-deceptive from the relationship. If one cannot recognize one's own characteristic from the sound of 'cow,' then how can one recognize that what is seen is "That is this"? If one says that the knowledge "What I previously recognized is this" exists in the world, it is not so, because seeing is not recognition. Thinking "That is this" is recognition, but thinking "This is" is not. Thinking "That is" is a hidden aspect, not a seen aspect. Therefore, because the characteristics of the two cognitions are mutually inconsistent, they are the same object.

It is not so. Different appearances are because they make them different. If it does not make them different, then the verbal expression will disappear. If it is said that the function of things is different, but not caused by different appearances, that is not right. Because different appearances can produce different functions of things. If it is said that it is caused by the special different appearances of the function of things, then, if there is an appearance separate from the function of things, then the consciousness without an object, because it is produced from the sense organ, will be different from consciousness. It is only produced from the habit of the thought of "is," but not the consciousness that holds the reality of the function of things. Therefore, since it does not touch the thing, the basis of the consciousness of the thought of "is" and the thought of "this" is not the same. The appearance of "this" is also like this, for all things that are present in front, it commonly has a strong attachment. If it is separated from the commonality, then it will become non-conceptual. If the sense consciousness is the nature of conceptualization, then at that time another fault will also occur here: the sound is expressed by it, and the conceptualization is also born from it. Therefore, the desire born from the sense organ will enter, but will not see the external object. The sound enters the hidden thing, and the conceptualizations also enter it. Therefore, the consciousness of the sense organ

In order to be able to know. If it is said that it will be based on the meaning of external objects, then, if it is said that following the meaning is the nature of direct perception, then, at that time, the sensory consciousness will become non-conceptual, because the appearance of sound depends on intention. That is not following the meaning of external objects, because it is one who follows habits. If it is said that the appearance of sound follows habits, then, the collection of habits and senses is unique, therefore, it has direct perception and discrimination. Nomenclature is just like that, if it is not like that, then for those who have not been made into objects, it will not become nomenclature. If it is said that this is certain for the establishment of happiness and so on, and the nomenclature of the world is seen in this way, then that is also not true. As follows: Just as knowledge arises from the collection, just as the desire to arise, the nomenclature itself also changes here, therefore there is no measure. Difference arises from different causes. The appearance of the meaning of knowledge produced by sound and senses, etc., are only different causes such as habits. Nomenclature is not unique, no, it is only a collection, because the nomenclature of two kinds of knowledge arises. In other discriminations, there is also the possibility of nomenclature. When other discriminations appear, they are taken as objects with attachment. It is not that it has not been experienced, but it will be experienced in this way and in the future. That is not the change of the nomenclature of sensory knowledge. Because things are combined to become nomenclature. Things are also previously experienced and will be experienced in the future. That is not the object of sensory knowledge, because it will become without inference. If you ask, what is the meaning of "will not see the external world"? It means that those who do not see the external world will also arise from the senses. Similarly, even if there are intervals, etc., the wisdom of the senses will arise. The so-called "wisdom of the senses will arise" is also the wisdom that arises even when there are intervals, etc., such as the idea of "that is" and "is a part", that is also the sense
