There is no mistake either. In this way, it is proven that inference following after the three aspects of effect, nature, and non-apprehension also exists. Why? If the mind of generality is not valid, then the other world will be obtained as non-existent. If other entities are understood by the senses at other times, that is not possible, because the sense consciousness is not possible for the senses and abilities, etc. If it is understood as non-existent, then consciousness and arising will become causeless. If the mind of generality itself is not valid, then at that time, there will be no object to be measured called hidden, just like the other world. However, all hidden things are not non-existent, because the senses gradually understand them. The senses do not enter the other world even at other times, therefore, such a form itself is non-existent. Well then, when it is understood, it exists at that time, but the previously existing thing, which was also previously understood by others, therefore it exists. If it is said that the other world was not previously understood by others or oneself, from where does that come? And also, other than the other world, it is understood by others, from where does that come? If it is said that it is from making such a designation, then inference will become valid. The senses or suitability itself, the senses do not enter by way of categories, because it is the understanding of inference itself arising from the reason of effect and nature. If there is no that, the arising of things and consciousness will become without reason. Therefore, by seeing the effect, and the opposite of the effect, suitability itself, and by inferring the eyes, etc., they are existent. For this, the action of the senses does not enter by way of categories. Therefore, the other world, etc., is also just like that. Therefore, without inference, generality cannot be understood. Like this: Because of the absence of conceptual thought, manifest is the own characteristic. Without conceptual thought, generality is not apprehended, therefore, for that, inference itself is necessary. If the understanding of the nature of definitely grasping generality is also the cause of designation, then generality is not apprehended without conceptual thought. Direct perception is not with conceptual thought, because there is no discrimination.

Therefore. Therefore, that which has a general object is inference, not direct perception. So how is it that color and so on are apprehended with aspects such as impermanence? This is not apprehending the nature of self and general. You want the measurable to be definite. If the measurable is definite, then color will not be understood as impermanent. That is because it becomes another valid cognition, because it exists without a sign. What is called definite measurable is that the self-character and the general character are grasped by valid cognition that is definite separately. This statement that color and so on are impermanent is understood as a mixture, because the self-character and the general character are understood to be mixed with each other. If they are mixed, then the valid cognition that understands the nature of both will become another valid cognition. Because it also exists without a sign, this is not inference, and it is also not direct perception because it apprehends the general. It is also not inference for the self-character, so this is another valid cognition, because it enters without a sign, and the general also appears. Even in the inference of seeing the difference, there is no understanding of the general, because the connection between the general and the sign is not established. Therefore it is said: When seeing the difference, the sign and the connection are not understood, therefore that is another valid cognition. Because there are many measurable objects, the valid cognitions are also many, or even for one, many enter, so the number of one and three will not be eliminated. For example, like seeing the difference, because there is no definite object, and because there are other measurable objects. This statement that color and so on are impermanent has no sign at all. That is also not direct perception, because it also understands the impermanence of the general. In seeing the difference, only the difference is understood, because it is understood that that sign and the general have no connection. Therefore, if it is combined with your view, it will become another valid cognition. Because there is no direct understanding, it is not direct perception. Because it is not an object of the general, it is not inference. Furthermore, because there are many measurable objects due to the distinction between the general and the particular and the two, the valid cognitions are many, and the two will not eliminate the number of three, the valid cognitions
