Therefore, it is reasonable. If validity is already established beforehand, then it is knowledge that possesses function. Knowledge that comes from things that can function is considered valid. However, if it is thought that whatever can function on anything is valid, then things that can function, etc., because they are not valid, can also be seen from cognition. If it does not function from it, how can one hope for it to function from other things? Because sometimes it cannot be obtained from it, it can also be seen in other things. There is no doubt about where it is obtained from, if it is valid, then, because of the similarity in shape, from where can doubt be eliminated? The shape that comes from habit is not the same, it is recognized from later, therefore, if there is no mistake in obtaining it, then it is mutually dependent. At the same time as seeing it, for the things seen, arising from the power of experience, if it is said to be a name arising from memory, then it is like arising from inference. Inference also arises from perception, and perception arises from inference, therefore, because they are mutually dependent, none of them are established. The perception that can cut off self, self-aspect, and shape, even if it only stirs the root, has no ability. It cannot grasp the relationship between the previous and the later. Differences in place and time are said to have a relationship. In any place and time, if perception can grasp pervasion, if the ability is like this, then everything will see everything. What is non-pervasive co-occurrence? From that, inference will not arise, because it is occasional, or inference will always arise. That thing with such a shape, from perception says "exists," from the change of kind, other existing things such as place cannot be grasped. Without grasping place, etc., how can it grasp pervasion? If inference is made without grasping it, this is really too biased. Because inference leads to others, it will enter a state without limit, and true knowledge will not arise, because it depends on this and that. Therefore, from itself, validity generally exists. Knowledge that has harm and causal faults will eliminate that object. Because validity is not deceptive, if there is no harm, then it should be valid. From harm, it will become other. Arguing about this, harm.

Just because it doesn't exist, it's not necessarily a valid cognition. What harm is there at the time of attainment? When it doesn't exist, from which valid cognition can it be known? Attainment means that the thing exists and is attained. That is also known after knowing from the knowledge of one's own thing. Previously, inference is applied to the thing that arises from that. Therefore, due to endless transformations, from which valid cognition can it be understood? Other than direct perception and inference, there is no other valid cognition. Here it is said, from oneself, one understands one's own nature, from terminology is the valid cognition. From oneself, one understands one's own nature, but not the nature of others. Direct perception is to perceive manifestly. Manifest perception is also from one's own nature, but not the special case of attaining the nature of others. The valid cognition itself is also not mistaken about the object to be attained. Without grasping the object to be attained, one cannot cling to the connection with it. If it is not determined in this way, because it is not a valid cognition, it is not a determination. Being related to the nature that is in front of us is not pervasive in all knowledge, so it does not cling to the connection with the nature that arises. For the thing that will arise and have a function, it is also not clinging to the connection with the nature of the previous knowledge. Therefore, because it is the essence of knowing one's own nature, it is not separately clinging to the connection. The collection is also impossible, because the knowledge of accomplishment and function arises sequentially. How does the memory that arises after that enter as if it has been experienced? It is because there is no connection that the two are recognized. Because what has been experienced is abandoned, it is defiled, so the connection cannot be recognized from that. Therefore, because the connection with it has not been grasped, how can it be understood later from seeing by inference and from similar things? Therefore, because there is no way to recognize the valid cognition, one knows one's own nature from oneself, but it is not a valid cognition. If the valid cognition is one's own nature, because what is said by the causes and conditions of things is inseparable from it. That is unreasonable, the essence of knowledge that is related to the nature to be attained is the valid cognition. Only one's own nature, because of clinging, is not clinging to it.
