If it is said to be the ground, it is because it is recognized as the object of focus. Recognizing it as the object of focus is the object of focus, and if it is not so, then it is something else. If it is said to be at other times, it is not existent in other, because it is certain to be its own nature, because it cannot be recognized as other. Inference will also show that it is valid for what will happen. So, how is the object to be measured other? Because it is recognized as the nature of the other. Recognizing it in that way with the nature common to examples is the other object to be measured. Because it is falsely established as its nature by the difference of recognition, the object to be measured is other. But it is not ultimately. If that is the case, then because it is done by dependence, is it not ultimately true either? It is true, this is precisely to show that the general dharma is without substance. This is not to say that it did not exist before. Those who do not recognize the difference as a way of not deceiving things, separate things as names, and say that there are two kinds of objects to be measured in relation to that thing. If you want to say that because it is the nature of both, grasping one, the valid cognition will become other. That is unreasonable, because one valid cognition cannot recognize the nature of both. Even if it recognizes, that is two valid cognitions, because it is different by the difference of recognition. Or, because it is the difference of recognition, it is not the characteristic of the ultimate truth, so there is no fault in becoming the nature of both. Blue and so on are the nature of the ultimate truth, which is not different by the difference of dependence. So, how does it become a valid cognition because there is no ultimate object to be measured? To this it is said: Because it is the nature of falsely establishing difference, it is not ultimately true. Whatever is the nature of the real thing to be obtained, that is not other than the ultimate truth. So, how does it become different because the ultimate truth is the object? If it directly becomes its own nature, then it will become direct perception. If it does not touch it, how can it be its object? To this it is said: Because it is not a real manifestation of clinging, it is thought that the second is confused. How is that thing like that, there, different by the difference of cause?

Because it does not appear to be attached in that way, but appears to be attached in a way that is not true, it is itself a delusion. Because it arises from the power of the awakening of the habitual tendencies produced by the object seen before, even if the object is not touched, it is particularly attached to it. If there is no contact with the object, then how can it become a valid cognition? If it is said that it is a valid cognition because it is not deceptive, and that it becomes non-deceptive because knowing another obtains another? To this it is said: If by the nature of another, knowing, then delusion is valid cognition. If one knows by the nature of another, then how does one know it? That is because one knows the nature of another. To this, obtaining another is itself a delusion, and delusion is not a valid cognition. The answer is: Because intention is not deceptive, even delusion is valid cognition. Knowing is also seen in other ways. This point has already been answered. Furthermore, if one asks how to manifest attachment as it is, it is because intention itself is not deceptive. Because it also exists here, it is not attached in a way that is not true. This comes from the power of habitual tendencies, and that it is different because the appearances are different, these are not the principles of conventional truth, but the way in which the interpreters understand the meaning. If it is said that because one sees another, how can intention become like that? It is not so, because conceptual thoughts are not certain about each individual object. This is the power of beginningless habitual tendencies. Therefore, if one asks how one enters into it without completely determining it itself, this is simply not something to be debated. For seeing, there is no unreasonableness. How does direct perception become the way of entering? Because for it, there is also no complete determination of the nature to be obtained, it only determines the proximity. Two, direct perception itself is not the way of entering, because merely being near is unattainable. There, too, one enters because of being particularly attached to those things as one, therefore, the entry of inference is also the same, why is it not seen as the same? However, direct perception is unique.
