Therefore, it is not a thing. However, for the time being, a thing does exist in it. This is determined by inference. Therefore, how can the object of inference not be a thing? To this, it is said: If there is a thing there, how can it move when touched? The awareness that appears as constant, that awareness itself is movement. Even if fire is recognized from true smoke, when it is mistaken for a swarm of bees, the recognition of fire will move and other recognitions will arise. But direct awareness is not so moving. If one suspects that it is due to dimness, then that situation is also similar. But it is not so, because it does not exist in the appearance of its own essence. If it moves when the eyes are closed, then it is not, because there is no cause, so it does not arise. If inference also has no cause and sign, so it does not arise, then it is not so, because even if there is smoke there, it is seen as moving due to suspicion of other things. However, if the absence of suspicion of other things itself is the cause, then how can there be a cause? That is unreasonable, because if it is seen, then the suspicion of other things itself will not exist. Therefore, inference is moving, so it is not grasping things. Therefore, merely seeing, through teaching, saying "moving" is arbitrary. For direct awareness, there is no movement. If it moves, it is not seeing. What is the meaning of seeing, that is not moving. Otherwise, through separate thought, things will not become other things. If one says "this is not fire" when seeing, is that movement? No, fire is not the object of direct awareness. The cognition of the eye is not cognition. In arising, change, self-nature, and senses, there is no cognition anywhere. Does saying "this is not fire" itself mean not being self-nature? Or is it not experienced together with the warm touch? Or is it not an object of cognition together with arising change? There are these three separate thoughts. If one says "this is not it," then it is impossible, because it is seen. Even if it is seen and it is not, then everything will become not. However, if the collection of shape and touch is fire, then, this shape is

If it is analyzed that it is not practiced together with the aspect, then, it is not held by the eye, therefore, it is only unseen. Therefore, only the unseen is wavering. This also explains that the nature that will arise is also wavering. Therefore, since what is seen does not touch the object, it is not reasonable to discriminate. Therefore, the knowledge of inference does not touch the object. If it is said that even if seen, there is doubt about some things because of other aspects, then, doubt is for comparable things, and the seen itself that will arise is not comparable. For appearance, infallibility and the present itself are present, other things are the same, and they are different depending on external things. Therefore, some appearances or only inferences are called seeming present, and this distinction is also for external things. Or, if the object that will arise does not appear even in inference, then how can it become true? If it is said that it will become true because it is known by others, then, if he also recognizes the nature that will arise, how can it become true? Like the appearance of a person with cataracts, it will only become untrue. What is known by others is also inference, therefore, how can it recognize that it is true by this? Because the unestablished cannot establish the unestablished. Even if the nature that will arise exists, inference is only more attached to that object, because it does not exist at that time, how can inference become an object with things? The present is also the measure for that object, like this, for it, recognizing the nature that will arise itself is true, if it is not like this, then it is untrue. That is completely correct, and it should be explained like that. Therefore, the mind of inference is the same as non-existence, and the mind of the present does not become without things, therefore, inference is not an object with things. However, is the thing itself not a thing because it itself is an object with non-existent things? That is also not good, because all inferences are objects with non-existent things.
