It is only becoming such a state. The meaning is that it will become unclear, because it depends on others, appearing as if others are unclear. The aspect of cognition is like that, depending on what it is said to be unclear. Therefore, since one's own essence appears clearly, how could it become unclear? The appearance of all aspects, this itself is clear. The nature of things is other, and if it does not appear, it appears as unclear. Then, how is it a general characteristic and appears unclear? It is explained that the essence of external objects is the general characteristic. Through analysis, it is the essence, which is called definite examination. Definite examination in things is the general characteristic, and things appear unclear. Its unclear state and the general aspect are due to being hidden. For example: Because all have the same essence, And because it depends on its opposite. Sharpness, dullness, intensity, and sandalwood, etc., all have the same essence, because the appearing and examined things are made into one, and there is a special attachment to one, so it is recognized as common. For example, because it is the essence of similar things, it is closely recognized as the general characteristic. The aspect of cognition also clings to the nature of that which is clear. Because it abides in all clear things, such as patterns, etc., the aspect of cognition that has become a general characteristic becomes special, and in the conventional sense, it is the essence of the general characteristic, because it is so particularly attached. For it, the cause of the special attachment arising from it is also the difference in habitual tendencies, which is faultless. Because it arises depending on the difference of the opposite. Because it arises through relying on the meaning of the opposite, and it is what enters into the things of the opposite. The opposite itself is the general characteristic, because the opposite itself has no difference for all, and because it is related to the opposite, the aspect of things is also the nature of the opposite. How is the aspect a general characteristic? Are form, etc., themselves without difference, not the general characteristic of the object of inference? Other clear

The clarity of severance itself is generally spoken of. If all clarity is severed, then inference will become non-valid. Therefore, by accepting inference as valid, it is inevitable that what has already been established must be used to establish (something else), and it must be acknowledged that clarity is the object, not just reaching the ultimate of appearance, because that would lead to not being able to enter. Holding onto just the general also has the same fault. Therefore, for those who say that the meaning of the nature of consciousness is general, from the appearance of consciousness, clarity is inferred, so the general inference becomes having the object of clarity. However, the general cannot infer clarity either, because for it, the general will also appear, so it cannot enter, so inference is meaningless. The general is not just a transmission, but the general infers the general, and from that, another general is also inferred, so it will become endless. Therefore, if it is said that ultimately clarity must be understood, so clarity itself is the general, then that is also not true, as it is said: Because it is only speech, so it is not a thing. Because the senses etc. have results. If names etc. are spoken, it is the speaker. The listener, what is said, and what is related afterwards. Names etc. have no connection, and will not enter the meaning. The form etc. of the general itself is not the general known by the general consciousness. Is each or all of the forms etc. known by the general consciousness? If all are known, then at that time the collection of senses will become without result, because the general consciousness arising from sound knows all the nature of clarity. If it is thought that the knowledge of the senses such as the eye is for the purpose of knowing clarity, then even if clarity is separate from the eye etc., it can be known, so what is the use of the senses? If it is thought that the senses are for happiness, like this, the happiness that arises depending on the senses is not other, then that is also not true, because that is also known from the sound itself. Without the senses, from the sound. Happiness is not born, happiness is born. If it is only knowing, then from the sound. That same happiness will also arise. If that is also knowing or...
