However, how can it be established through inference? If the hidden does not work on the manifest, and if it does, then inference is meaningless. If the manifest works, how can it become hidden? The very thing that the manifest transforms into is hidden. The manifest does not work on it. If there is no sensory perception, then the saying "it perceives it" has never existed before. Therefore, the object of the manifest is perceived from the manifest. For the hidden, since there is no measurement, how can it be determined as two measurables? Therefore, if the two measurables are not established or contradictory, how can one argue? If it is allowed that there are two measurables, then why must it become merely a valid cognition? If the connection is not established, it cannot be determined from all reasons. Even if the connection is fully established, it does not possess manifest valid cognition. How can valid cognition itself become a common proof of manifest valid cognition? If it is not established, how does manifest valid cognition determine its connection with it? Thus, if the two measurables are not established, or if they are established by others, they become contradictory, or because the connection with it is not established, the reason is uncertain. If it is said so, here the two kinds of objects mentioned are fully established only through manifest valid cognition, and the very realization of similarity and dissimilarity is the nature of knowledge itself, and this is established by self-cognizant manifest valid cognition. There is also no delusion in the self-nature of knowledge, and if one suspects that there is delusion in it, there will be no name, so there will be no occasion for stating reasons, refuting, and asking questions. Without experience, where will the words be applied? For a basis without connection, words will not be applied anywhere. If the difference of other things also comes from the difference of knowledge, then why can't the difference of valid cognition, which has become its self-nature, be established? The very perception becomes different, how can the difference of valid cognition be established? Previously, in the common characteristic, this valid cognition has been established, so isn't its difference, this name, recognized as something to be established in that way? "This is fire" is the manifest itself, to whom is it said to have conceptual thought? The self-nature is established from the manifest, and the meaning of the past and similar is the reason.

gas las. Thus, without grasping the meaning, there is no engaging in seeking meaning and accomplishing meaning. From the terms of the characteristics of entering and withdrawing, the general characteristic of valid cognition is established from the very beginning. Now, it is only a matter of proving different terms. Regarding this, this is only one perception with conceptualization, for example, this is fire, because from this, the desired thing to be manifested is accomplished. Regarding what was said, this is two, because the modes of cognition are different. Since the modes of cognition are different, external objects are also understood to be different, what need is there to mention valid cognition which has become its own nature? Regarding that, the own nature with the aspect of burning is established by perception, because it has been manifested, and that perception is one with an object that is not hidden. The general conceptualization, the previous thing and similar dharmas are hidden, and are the objects of other valid cognitions. However, what causes entry into that is only perception, and not others. Other cognitions are there, but are not valid cognitions, because whatever exists together with it, all do not become valid cognitions, because the body and the earth, etc., would also become valid cognitions. Regarding that, here it is said: By means of following and reversing, they abide in the other that is needed. Without that, perception itself does not enter alone. If it is seen that only perception enters alone because of being extremely accustomed, then inference with the aspect of apprehending similarity is not. That is also not true, because it is not seen that only perception enters at the first time. If it is not the first, but will become later, this is a foolish statement. Where, which one, in that place, if it acts when entering first, it should not enter first, but will enter after that. Thus, if there is no entering at first, from where does that later habitual entering come from? The nature of those after that is only this: if there is no former, then what is the nature of non-existence? Therefore, perception
