Knowing steadfastness is knowing without turning back. Steadfastness is because it does not revert. Knowing all distinctions without exception is the wisdom of the All-Knowing One, knowing everything completely. Sugata is so called because it means realization. If it is asked: Is the fact that the Bhagavan possesses these qualities known from the act of saving? It is not the case that saving comes from following after. It is not possible for others to have such saving. If one proceeds by following after, then others will change. If one thinks that the answer is that it comes from following after a lineage, then if that is so, others will also change, because there is no distinction to be made between some following after that changes and others that do not. It is not possible that the Bhagavan does not indicate something to even one being. Therefore, it is known that the Bhagavan knows all aspects of all things. If all aspects of all things are not seen, then it is not possible to say that all things are destroyed in an instant, because whatever is not seen becomes uncertain. If it is asked: How are we, that it should change in that way? We are not without its indication. Therefore, there is certainty for what is seen directly or indicated by others, but not for others. It is not possible to indicate without certainty. If it is asked: Is it possible that it comes from delusion? That is not possible, because in that case, other similarities would also arise. One would be deluded into thinking that it is permanent, but in what way would one be deluded into thinking that it is momentary? There is nothing that would be deluded into thinking that it is momentary. There is also no doubt, because it is focused on both parts. Therefore, this is indicated from certainty, and that certainty is not made manifest. Our following after is not without indication. The Bhagavan would not say that out of doubt, because that would imply indicating both. Therefore, the Bhagavan is the Sugata because he possesses the knowledge of thatness, steadfastness, and all distinctions without exception.

Yes. Therefore, the Bhagavan is more distinguished than the outsiders and those who are learning and those who are not learning. Therefore, in order to show the wisdom and effort of benefiting others, because compassion arises from that, for the sake of others' benefit, without abandoning the accomplishment of benefit, the Bhagavan possesses the nature of the Sugata. If it is true, then from what cause does this (nature of the Sugata) arise? The answer is, it can be inferred that it is because of showing the application of wisdom to the work of benefiting others. If it is not so, from where does the nature of the Sugata come? Moreover, that is also compassion, otherwise it will not apply wisdom to benefit others. If that (work of benefiting others) is accomplished, what is the use? Is it merely the Sugata? Will it become a valid means of cognition? That is not so. Just like this, that is merely from wisdom itself, it is not a valid means of cognition, that (Bhagavan)'s valid means of cognition is from showing closeness (to sentient beings) at all times and places and becoming a valid means of cognition, if it is not so, that is not a valid means of cognition for us. The reason for saying that is for the benefit of others, without abandoning the accomplishment of benefit. Because compassion applies wisdom to benefit others, it always acts for the benefit of others. Because of compassion, one will not completely transcend suffering, just as it was said before. Furthermore, from compassion, goodness, and wisdom, one proclaims happiness, and possesses the means of proof. In order to proclaim that, one also possesses manifest effort. For what reason is that a valid means of cognition? Because one possesses compassion, one will speak well, because of wisdom, one will truthfully speak the undeluded truth. That wisdom also possesses the means of proof, and also possesses the manifest effort to proclaim that meaning. Because of these four reasons, that is a valid means of cognition. This is like saying: the end of the east is the east, the end of the bottom is the bottom, this is the matter of cause and effect. Therefore, it must be definitely said that the Bhagavan is a valid means of cognition. Precisely because of this, the Bhagavan is praised with the qualities of the nature of a valid means of cognition. What he said is: praising such a real thing, from such a teaching, that fact of the valid means of cognition is the meaning of accomplishment, because the inference is irreversible. Slightly possessing the nature of birth, whatever that is, all possess the nature of cessation. Like this and so on, in many ways, this is the end of the effort.
