It should also be accepted. Therefore, clinging to the self is not devoid of attachment to anything. Furthermore: Attachment born from seeing virtues is destroyed by seeing faults. Thus, it is not the same for the senses, etc., because it is also seen in children, etc., because it also exists in those with faults, because it does not exist in other virtuous ones, because it does not exist in the past, etc., because it does not exist in what is mine. Turning away from seeing the faults of what is mine, attachment arising from seeing virtues in the senses, etc., is not like that. However, it arises from seeing what is mine. Thus, even though there are faults in holding the senses, etc., as the nature of what is mine, attachment arises, and although there are virtues in others, it does not arise, and it also exists in animals and children, etc., who do not distinguish between faults and virtues, and it also does not exist in one's own past and future, etc. Therefore, it is not abandonment by seeing faults. If so, then seeing faults, the very thought of what is mine should disappear, and because that disappears, attachment should also disappear, because the faults arising from seeing virtues are clarified by seeing their faults. If it is said like that, this is not even a little bit, like this: Because of that, the cause of the thought of what is mine is also not seeing virtues. Therefore, not seeing virtues, that is also not abandonment. In some who have faults, there is also the thought of what is mine, and in those who have virtues, there is not, and it also exists in the past, etc. Furthermore, virtues that exist or do not exist are also seen there by attachment that exaggerates. That is because it is harmless, and because it has been accomplished, how does it harm? If it is like that, seeing its faults, that which is called attachment is abandoned, because seeing the faults of that very thing is to eliminate it by exaggerating what is not there with attachment. If the mind abides in the middle way, then one sees the faults and also does not exaggerate the virtues, if it is asked like that, it is not so, because one does not attain that middle way with attachment. That is only the aversion of attachment to another object by another, it is not otherwise. If it is like that, if it is like that, then the harm to this is itself recklessness. What is it like to be eaten by a mother? The sky-goer is also the same.

Therefore, liberation will not be attained by abandoning attachment through meditating on suffering with the view of self. Here, the Samkhyas say: It is not possible to meditate on suffering for those who have the view of self, but liberation is attained from fully understanding the difference between nature and the person. As it is said: This person is truly, the nature of pure realization, because he does not understand other natures, he relies on samsara through ignorance. If the different natures of pleasure and so on are not eliminated, I will not be liberated from myself. Therefore, the mere arising of unique knowledge is, I am liberated. But that is not so, as it is said: Because of seeking other excellence, and because of having a mind of arising and ceasing, this person knows that I change differently from freedom and so on. Therefore, even seeing oneness, attachment arises to the non-attached self, and on the limbs within the object, attachment arises accordingly by nature. Seeing decay and arising itself is seeing differently. The nature of following and returning is different, I follow and pleasure and so on return. Therefore, because contradictory dharmas exist, they are different. But if the samsaric one does not discriminate, if that is so, there is no difference. Because it is impossible to know the difference. Because of abandoning the pursuit of pleasure, there is no respect. Separated from pleasure and so on, no one with discrimination seeks. Because I am the only one before destruction and arising, I will become unnecessary. If one sees the self as one together with the chief, that is not so, because the nature of one's own thinking, how can it be confused as one? What is related to samsara? From where does the desire for objects arise? Entering into the chief, there is not, how can it be one? There is no confusion about the self, that has been shown before. If one clings to the object itself, one will not cling to it as not different. Clinging without wisdom is not reasonable for the Samkhya view. The desires of the persons also, enter for the sake of seeing. Before joy enters,

Where are the objects of thought? Memory and desire, arise from their own nature. Their arising also arises from desire, therefore they are mutually dependent. If from beginningless habits, this happiness and so on also arise in the same way. Before becoming the master, from where do habits come from? Therefore, the nature of self-awareness, if it is considered to be self-nature, otherwise it cannot do it, therefore it will turn into something else. If it is not from experiencing suffering that one sees renunciation? Then how to make it into something else? Here it is said: Whoever now because of suffering, the arising renunciation is hatred, at that time it is not without desire, because when there is desire, one will seek something else. Because of what? Because hatred is the cause of suffering, therefore it only exists in this life. If it disappears, then oneself, will rely on this self-nature again. Even if one renounces by experiencing suffering, it is not without desire. That is because there is self and what belongs to self, so at that time hatred will arise from disagreeable views. Not having attachment is not ultimate, it is just recognizing unpleasant things and so on. Holding onto self-view is because there is attachment and there is no liberation, because temporarily one will seek other purposes. If hatred always arises, is that not having attachment? That is not the case, as long as it is suffering, hatred will arise. When the cause of suffering disappears, it may turn into hatred. If suffering follows, then this liberation is pacification. Overwhelmed by suffering and hatred, to exist forever is excellent. If renunciation exists, how to be liberated? The mind that does not renounce samsara does not seek liberation. Even without being tormented by suffering, people do not give rise to renunciation. That is not the case, because abandoning what should be taken and what should be abandoned, being equal to everything, being the same for sandalwood and axe, this is called non-attachment. On our side, just seeing the nature of reality can attain equality of mind, afterwards because of attachment, anger and haste, yogis are without attachment, others are not. Then how to tame
