Whatever form it takes is craving for desire. The desire to be free from suffering is craving for destruction. Therefore, there is no contradiction in itself. There is no contradiction with any scripture in the teaching of the truth of arising. Because of the cause of attachment to self, perceiving non-pleasure as pleasure, this will universally lead to everything. Therefore, craving is the foundation of existence. Because it is the basis of clinging to self, the mind that fabricates as one is self. Attachment to it is the cause of universally leading to everything, such as dwelling and enjoyment. When separated from happiness in the ultimate sense, those things that are not happiness will lead to errors due to the four inversions. Therefore, it is the foundation of existence. Except for those who have compassion, there is nowhere without craving, not an enterer and follower. That is not the cause of samsara. Therefore, craving is the cause of acting together. It is only a condition, but not the direct taker. The direct taker of it is the mind. Its condition is sometimes existence and sometimes compassion. This explains the aspect called condition. Even if it is just a condition, craving is not a condition, but the body. Therefore, the connection with the body is not separate from non-desire. This shows: Because birth without desire is not seen, the teachers say. Because attachment without a body is not seen, attachment also comes from the body. Just as birth without separation from desire is not seen, desire is the cause of birth, similarly, from this reasoning, the body also becomes the cause of desire and so on. If attachment is not seen without a body, then it is said here that even without desire, birth will occur due to the power of compassion. Because its object of manifest delight is caused by craving. Because it is only a special cause, craving is only a condition. Similarly, if the body is also just a condition for desire and so on, and improper attention itself is the cause of direct acceptance, then, at that time, desire itself is proven, which shows: Because the cause is acknowledged, desire is clear that direct acceptance.

If one wants to follow this view, it will harm one's own desires. The body, which is associated with improper mental activity, is also considered a cause of desire. That is like an object, sometimes a cause of awakening habits. This reasoning proves that the body is also a cause of desire. Therefore, because they are mutual causes, such an assembly arises from beginningless time, thereby perfecting other births. The examiner who is beautiful on the other shore is burned by fire. If substance with qualities is not birth itself? Then these two are not mutual causes. If desire arises from seeing birth, if birth and desire arise simultaneously, then (desire) equal to birth already exists before birth. Even if one does not know that existence is the cause, the desire spoken of here is because it is a continuous impeller. If desire and so on arise simultaneously with birth, therefore desire and so on are not the cause of the body, then the body is not the cause of desire and so on. Nor is it without a cause, therefore, because desire and so on are produced by a cause of the same kind, the manifested desire is accomplished. If only existence is the cause? Because ignorance, desire, and karma are the three causes. If it is said, why is desire itself, which manifests joy in that place, shown as the truth of the origin? That is not so, even if it is the cause, it is not the immediate cause. Desire itself is an uninterrupted cause, because it also impels samsara to become a cause. Ignorance and karma, although they exist, do not cause one to enter into any place where there is no existence. Even if there is inversion, if there is no desire, one will not enter into samsara. Therefore it is said, that is not immediate either, because if there is that, there is not this. If there is no desire, then even the kingdom and so on that are bound by karma will be abandoned. If it is said, because the mind follows karma, it will not be abandoned? By what is it obtained and abandoned, that karma itself is like that. Or, because those of the nature of liberation have no birth. Those are also liberated by the exhaustion of karma, just like that.

English

If it is not because of the absence of something? Here it is said: If this action is direct, and separate from existence, then craving is the primary cause, and this itself is endowed with wisdom here. However, if there is existence in this, then the exhaustion of karma does not exist. That which possesses existence is different from that, and the karma of the other also changes. Thus, for the time being, it is the nature of arising. The four noble truths have been explained. Now, the cessation of that suffering is existence, thus explaining the four aspects of the truth of cessation. That is not permanent, because there are obstacles, etc., in the cause. If there is no liberation because of samsara? No, because of desire and non-establishment. The very nature of cessation, the very nature of peace, the very nature of excellence, and the very nature of definite emergence, these are the four aspects. When speaking of the very nature of cessation, it is said to be the very nature of cessation. Others also acknowledge that those who are liberated also possess desire, etc., which is prevented, so it is the very nature of peace. From that, there is also excellent liberation, because it is abandoned, so it is the aspect called excellence. Liberation also becomes non-liberation again, if that is eliminated, it is the very nature of definite emergence, which is the fourth aspect. Among them, the first aspect is: that is not permanent, permanence is not change, it is also cessation. Because it is a samsaric being, it is not liberation, nor is it a fault, because it is desired. There is no such thing as liberation. Someone is bound, that is not liberation, because that is its nature. There is also no bondage in liberation, because it is the nature of constant liberation. However, the stream of mind changes impurely, and from the difference of accumulation, it only generates other pure parts. Among them, the later pure part is not established as samsara. Ultimately, there is no samsaric being, because the moments are not samsara, and the continuum is also non-existent ultimately. Therefore, the reason that it is because of samsara is not established. For whom there is liberation, there is also no liberator. If bondage is not liberation, other bondage, others will be lost, others will be hungry, others will be thirsty, experience the suffering of other's nourishment, others will be liberated from disease.
