Because the land fully arises, it fully grows. Condition is abandoning the main factor. Regarding this, the cause of suffering exists, this is shown in the beginning itself. Others are not occasional, but are seen when there is a cause. Things without a cause, exist or where will they become other? However without a cause, that will become constant. Hairs seen by those with eye diseases, etc., also arise without a place. What should be realized by self-awareness, the realm of Dharma is without cause. It is not occasional, it has characteristics, it is regarded as constant. A barren woman's son, etc., are causes. Because there is no self-nature, it is not always existent. Here is the debate: How are the causes of sharpness, etc., of thorns, etc., without cause? Thus, these become without cause. Some say this. Those who say there is no cause. The very nature, the nature of the great elements, is not the maker, but because it possesses the distinctions of place, time, and state, it is the maker of distinctions. To that, the distinctions are also regarded as causeless. The nature of iron, etc., of arrows, needles, spears, probes, etc., is not made by blacksmiths, etc., but is the object that makes sharpness. The nature of earth, etc., in iron, etc., is not made by others, but because it becomes the nature of iron, etc. Even without blacksmiths, etc., the sharpness of thorns, etc., is seen, so it exists even without it. This uncertain cause is the causeless one. Similarly, the other distinctions that make beings diverse also become causeless. What contradiction is there to this? That is not so, whatever exists, or whatever arises, or whatever changes, that is considered the cause there. That also exists in those things. The thought on this is, if the distinction itself is to be produced, then those are not without cause. The sharpness and curvature of the Gleditsia thorns do not exist without the Gleditsia seed. Because it follows its coming and going, even if it is its fruit, it is not without cause. However, the blacksmith also makes it
