It also mentions "also" and so on. The meaning of "excluding being a support" and so on is: because it is the main part of things, it excludes being a support itself and so on. The abandonment of reliance has already been explained by "if each of the senses is harmed" and so on. One with pure conduct gradually becomes accustomed to it without weariness, and thus becomes one with a skull. In the first union, the quality of mind itself is the reason, and in the second union, if there is habituation, it will certainly become special, and that is the difference. "Excess" means two or three echoes, etc., other than echoes. It is said that the young woman Malen, within ten bow-lengths in the sky, jumps and walks, but even if she gets used to it a hundred times, she cannot jump a hundred echoes. For example, like desire and so on, this is an example of dissimilar dharmas, such as habitual things like desire and so on, which do not arise spontaneously. "The excellence of what is said in this way" refers to things with characteristics such as jumping. The happiness of others' innocent minds is joy. Equanimity is the state of being free from attachment and anger towards objects that are the cause of attachment and anger. "From fire, etc." is the fifth. "Like wood, etc., mercury and gold, etc." is the sixth. For example, just as ashes, etc. of wood, etc. arise from fire, etc., in the same way, affection, etc. of the mind also arise spontaneously. The re-combination of mercury refers to the use of medicine to prevent mercury from scattering, which is said to be "using up." The meaning is: how do those minds of affection, etc. obtain growth that is in accordance with habituation? Growth has a definite limit, and is pervaded by being separated from the entry of previous seeds of the same kind, and the opposite of this is the entry of previous seeds of the same kind, so, relative to the second to be proven, what pervades is the opposite object. "Later on as before" is

These are the words of the path. Like this, it is explained by mixing with the phrase "later time of such habituation." The phrase "self-power is certain" indicates that the amount of increase is certain. After saying "etc.," it refers to other qualities of mind, such as joy and equanimity. Regarding what is said about love and non-attachment, wisdom, etc., if one asks what is love like, one asks, what is the root of habituation of love, non-desire, detachment, and wisdom, etc.? The answer is that it is the dharma of the mind, which means that the mind enters naturally. In order to distinguish the dharma done by the mind, habituation is that which is the habituation of the dharma of the mind. For example, like the difference of habituation of the dharma of the mind done before, this refers to the difference made by writings, crafts, boats, etc. To be disgusted with happiness and suffering, and to have the nature of not being disgusted, to be disgusted with happiness is to be without attachment, and to be without disgust with hatred is to be without anger, just like seeing sandalwood and sandalwood as the same. Abandoning faults, after establishing in the mind what will be accomplished from below, it is said here. It is said that one wants to benefit sentient beings. This is a separate explanation of the phrase "wanting to benefit sentient beings" in the verse of salutation from the collection of valid instruments, which is the meaning. In "scripture and reason," reason is the subsequent inference, and to distinguish and observe with it is reason, because the subsequent inference can endure observation. The occasion for examining the scriptures is to examine what appears later. If you ask, is it? Therefore, for the time being, many scriptures are targeted and "etc." is said. "Shown by it or" refers to the means shown by the scriptures, which is taken out from the heart. The word "or" means جمع, meaning that it is examining the means shown by the scriptures and what arises from the means. If you ask whether those are reasonable or unreasonable, if that is the case, because it enters with observation preceding, the nature of reason enters at certain times.
