Just as the aspect of memory that refers to the apprehended aspect itself as a pot, a consciousness of conceptualization arises. Similarly, when grasping the essence of having its own characteristic, it is called "existent"; when completely cutting off the clear, un-accompanied, it is called "one"; when considering other companions, it is called "two," and so on; and the grasping of objects that arise in dependence on the part of the upper direction is called "lifting," and thus arises. Therefore, all consciousnesses with objects such as pot and existence are not valid cognitions because they grasp the apprehended. This shows that when saying "valid cognition is unerring knowledge," the word "valid cognition" here, the initial measurer is valid cognition, which is the meaning of connection. Therefore, if it is the understander who does not understand the meaning itself, then what is unerring is valid cognition, because it has been defined in this way, so there is no over-extension. Valid cognition is unerring knowledge. Regarding the fact that knowledge is mentioned in the definition of knowledge, questions of definite reasons such as "why" are raised. Such an aspect refers to being endowed with not understanding the meaning itself and being unerring. That which has the name "meaning of a man" is called that. Decision means complete decision. That is, for things that should be taken and abandoned, it has the nature of taking and abandoning. Absence of decision means that it depends only on valid cognition, but is not decided by other causes, such as understanding the object to be measured. That is also called special, because what inevitably happens is special, and because it acts through it, it is special. If valid cognition exists, then the object to be measured will inevitably be understood, because there is no difference from valid cognition. It is not the result of decision, because the possibility of obstruction exists. On this, it is explained by "the result of decision is, through knowledge, understanding the meaning that should be taken and abandoned," and so on. Through the word "etc." in "sense faculties etc.," the object, self, mind, and their contact are completely included. Merely existing it means that merely existing sense faculties etc. does not need to depend, and has understanding of the object.

Therefore, it should be understood that it will always enter. The so-called "appropriate attention" means abandoning both what should be taken and what should be abandoned. The so-called "thought" means thinking in the mind, "I will do this and that." It is impossible for the senses, etc., to enter with thought as a guide. Therefore, the initial consciousness itself is the cause of entering, not the senses, etc. Do thought and going to that place, etc., not also cause me to enter? Indeed, even so, it is a measure different from that (thought), produced by the power of that (thought) different from it, because it is produced from the power of measure ( प्रमाण ,pramāṇa). Therefore, that is not a part of the initial entry. Those with the object of the meaning seen by measure are its objects. Therefore, because it does not comprehend the meaning itself, nor is it the comprehender itself, the initial consciousness itself is measure, because it is the part of the initial entry itself, because it holds the non-comprehension of the meaning itself. Therefore, in "Intelligence is," etc., "that" refers to the identity of intelligence and object itself. The so-called "This is blue consciousness, this is yellow consciousness" refers to distinguishing each thing. The so-called "Even if the nature of experience has no difference" means that in the nature of experience, intelligence and each object have no other difference than being identical with the object itself. The so-called "this fruit" refers to comprehending the object. The so-called "Even if there is that, at some time" refers to stating rejection. The so-called "its" refers to the identity with the object itself. That refers to comprehending the object. Because there is no decision, the non-dependent on others, the identity with the object itself is the basis for establishing the fruit. With "the stated," etc., to welcome with doubts about the treatise of reflection. The so-called "the stated object" refers to the object of the expressive language. By distinguishing the meaning of the established sound, manifestation or arising, etc., are distinguished, that is, the certainty of arising from another is manifestation. The so-called "sound established" should be understood as manifestation, the doctrine of permanence is taken as an example here. The so-called "fruit division established" refers to སྐ
