Even if it exists, how can one fully understand the determined meaning? It is not possible through some means. Why? Because there is no difference in nature. The sound of the Vedas has no difference in nature whatsoever. It is determined to one meaning that is desired to be manifested. From what is seen, the desired meaning can be understood. Even if there is a difference in nature, even if there is a difference in nature, if that difference in nature becomes non-manifest or non-non-manifest, then for the time being, it is not manifest. Why? Because the nature of manifestation does not need to be indicated, otherwise it would become self-realized. If it is said that it is not manifest, even if it is not manifestation itself, because there is no other valid cognition, it cannot be understood even by some observers on this shore. This is said after admitting it. There is no difference whatsoever in the various determinations of one meaning. All sounds are close to all meanings and without separation. Some sounds are close to some meanings and without separation. Because of that, for all meanings, those sounds that are identical in essence are the cause of the intention to express the determination of meaning. The explainer is the one who wants to express. Convention is its clarifier, that is, convention is the clarifier of that which is desired to be expressed. In this way, what is desired to be expressed by this meaning can only be understood through convention. What is desired to be expressed is not naturally produced, because it does not exist in non-human-made sounds. How can that non-human-made sound arise from the same meaning that has been spoken of? It cannot. What is desired to be expressed, etc., is used to explain. Because what is desired to be expressed becomes the cause, sound arises from meanings, this is the expresser of meaning, this needs to be determined, but it is not the essence. Why? Because it does not depend on anything, because without connection, it is the same for all meanings. What sound depends on are those things that exist and develop. Because sounds arise from it, or because it is clearly stated in the scriptures of eternalism. Those authors.

Moreover, since sounds are not necessarily able to express all things, not all sounds are able to express actions. If, according to another view, all things, such as vases, etc., would also express actions, which is unreasonable. Even if things that can express actions are able to indicate actions, considering this, it has all been explained. Because it is so, in order to clarify what one wants to express, an agreement has been made. So, what is it like? It has the characteristic of showing intention, that is, showing the characteristic of showing the intention of the explainer. For non-human-made sounds, there is no determination of what one wants to express, and the agreement cannot clarify this either. Why? Because for non-human-made sounds, no one has any intention. The sounds of the Vedas are not definite for one meaning. Even if it is admitted that it is definite for one meaning, no one knows this. It has been shown that for some, there is no knowledge that is definite for each meaning. Or, if it is thought that the sounds of the Vedas are essentially definite, and that they cannot determine what one wants to express, then the sounds of the Vedas are essentially definite, if one wants to think so. For other meanings, this is also not possible, because one cannot definitely combine the sound one wants to express. Explaining with "if" etc., if sounds are essentially mixed with things, without relying on agreement, then, the answer here is that because it does not rely on anything, there is no certainty, which has already been said. Furthermore, if one admits that it is essentially, that is, the nature of what is to be said and what can be said that is self-accomplished, then even if one wants to express, one cannot, as one wishes, definitely combine the sound with other meanings. The eye essentially determines the manifestation of form, but cannot definitely combine it with hearing sound. Therefore, combining as one wishes, it is not essentially definite like gestures etc. Therefore, temporarily admitting the agreement, it is essentially definite.
