That which is called "Na is the ultimate of all tenets" is the Sutra. That which is established in the same lineage but not established in other lineages is the ultimate tenet of the opponent's lineage. When something is established, other situations are also established, which is the ultimate tenet of the occasion. Having promised without examination, examining its distinctions is the ultimate tenet of the promise. Commentary on the Explanation of Valid Cognition, Volume Sixty-Three. Briefly combining the meaning of what was promised without examination is the ultimate tenet, which is the general definition of the ultimate tenet. Because the reason is not established, etc., one does not accept at that time, therefore, for those things that are not the ultimate tenet, there is no fault of being unestablished, this is what was thought. That which is called "having done in that situation" is the ultimate tenet. That which is called "vow, reason, example, and approximation," etc., is the third answer. Among them, what is to be proven here is action, what is called "what is to be proven is action," etc., like this, "to be proven" is the operative cause of action. Because what is to be proven is action, what is unestablished is also to be proven, and for what is unestablished, there are also several reasons, etc. Having mentioned "that is several," etc., in this way, the establisher is also shown to be action itself in the manner as previously stated. The explanation of what is called "the agent's great desire for dharma is action," etc., is unreasonable, because in this way, it is not intended to express the past time, because for desire and what will be desired, it is also acknowledged as the name of action. If it were not so, then "went to the village" itself would become the name of action, but "going to the village" and "will go" would not. In order to show that itself, therefore, it is said "what is to be proven," etc. Mentioning "etc." includes the occasion of the ultimate tenet, etc., what is called "four kinds of ultimate tenets," etc., includes what was said before. Just as this has no power, so it will be explained below. What is called "because of the nature of being previously unestablished" is if

Therefore, this answer is appropriate when the characteristic of a limb is different from the thing to be established previously, which is the very thing that establishes it. Any opponent who is confused about the difference between what is to be established and what establishes it should be shown in order to explain the characteristic of a limb. This is what is meant by "any opponent," and so on. The phrase "without grasping the distinction between what establishes and what is to be established" means not grasping the distinction between what is to be established and what establishes it from the word that has the meaning of eliminating the non-establishment of what is to be established, because there are also cases where what establishes is not established. The phrase "because of the nature of the promise" means that it is expressed by the word of the established final conclusion, just as it was promised. Although one wants to change, the meaning of the promise is the established final conclusion, so if one says that it is the nature of the promise when the reason, etc., is not established, then, therefore, it is said that "if there is also what is not established," etc., and the established final conclusion will be obtained merely by explaining the cause that has the function. The idea is this: the so-called proposition, promise, and final conclusion are established as synonyms, and thus it is understood as "this is our final conclusion, this is our proposition, this is our promise." Showing what is to be established is also a proposition, which is a characteristic. Therefore, as long as the meaning is expressed by the word of what is to be established, then the proposition, promise, and final conclusion are all objects of verbal expression, and the word of what is to be established also encompasses these three. Therefore, what one wants to promise will also become established.
