If a refutation is made against a commentary on the "Door of Reasoning" in some place, then others should also point out the differences there. Listing characteristics that do not contradict the lineage and are free from error, is not to establish the words of a sect, because it is stating things that are not established, just like the words of an example that is not established. Similarly, explaining how the commentary on the "Door of Reasoning" argues. If someone were to present here a reason that does not contradict and is free from error, then when others present that reason, it would become ineffective, therefore the commentary on the "Door of Reasoning" would not have the ability to give a correct answer. If someone arranges it in that way, then due to the obvious uncertainty, the words themselves distinguish it, therefore the refutation is uncertain. If it is not so, if it becomes effective, then since there is no harmful valid cognition, why not first say that the refutation of the absence of reversal itself is reasonable? Therefore, this is what is said to those who have not answered the questions of the previous sect. Therefore, the answer is ridiculed. The words "not established" and "not an argument" etc., actually refer to what is said and what is admitted by the opponent. The "former two" refer to one's own nature and word particles. The so-called "actually said" etc., refer to words of intention etc. If there is a need to reverse the order, what is it? The answer is that because there are many things to express, it is mentioned that "there are many things to express" etc. Even though it is now the time to explain the meaning of the word of intention, for the time being, the opponent who appears incidentally is answered with "if oneself" etc. The so-called "all other intentions" refers to the author of the treatise himself or others. The so-called "admitting without relying on the treatise" means that due to proximity, what was previously admitted will be understood as not relying on the explanation of the treatise. Why does it prevent relying on the treatise itself that was previously admitted? This is a wrong understanding.

The phrase "also the place can be seen" refers to the fact that if there is harm to that which is to be established beforehand, which is seen in all treatises, then there is harm to the reason and the commitment. At that time, "establishing the difference of dharma in a reversed way," etc., means that only the single dharma that the opponent intends to establish is to be established, and not others. In this way, since it is reversed, oneness becomes contradictory. That itself, for example, says "if it is a single assembly," etc. "Depending" means that if it is for the benefit of others in this way, then they are not those that possess the realm of assembly, that is, they do not do things for the benefit of others. For this dependence, it is a difference of dharma, for example, eyes, etc., are for the benefit of others, but are not those that possess the meaning of assembly. Depending on the fact that the meaning is shown by the sound of the words of the subject, it is a difference of the subject. In this regard, when establishing the contradiction of the difference of dharma based on the first case, sometimes due to intention, it will be said that this is not a difference of dharma, but a difference of the subject. Similarly, when fully accepting the second case and saying that it is contradictory, it will be said that this is not a difference of the subject, but a difference of dharma. Since the difference of contradiction is not determined in this way, no matter how other differences are distinguished, they will be established as contradictory, so it is necessary to refute them in all cases. That itself, the term "shaking," refers to the meaning of pointing out faults in the same way as differences. "Intention" means with the intention of the object of dharma that has not been shown as needing to be established. Merely harming the fact that intention has not been stated is not merely the fault of the reason of contradiction itself, and similarly, since the subject in the example that is the object of intention does not exist, it is also the fault of the example not following. Eyes, etc., are for the benefit of others, because they are the nature of assembly, just like bedding and cushions, etc. When others state, Master Vasubandhu says that eyes, etc., are for the benefit of others, and for this, if others think it is for themselves, then "it is for their own benefit" is the meaning of the words, therefore.
