Having acknowledged that knowing things depends on the senses, it has been pointed out that this is a mistake. Now, in order to show that knowing things does not depend solely on the senses, it is mentioned that "knowing things also depends on the senses," and so on. The so-called "Dharma imputation" refers to, like me, imputing past things as being this present one. The reason for saying "from where does the knowledge of the senses arise" is because the knowledge of the senses is empty of prior and subsequent recognition. The so-called "even if transformed" refers to the memory of previous experiences, imputing things onto the knowledge of the senses, even if transformed. If acknowledged, like consciousness, it is able to understand meaning. Just as consciousness enters through prior and subsequent recognition, so too does the knowledge of the senses, this is a concluding statement. The so-called "will not be different from it" refers to not being different from consciousness. The so-called "its knowledge" refers to the knowledge that understands meaning and clings, and the knowledge that is simultaneous with understanding meaning. The so-called "if other aspects of the appearance of things are understood simultaneously" is because understanding things themselves resides within it. Therefore, if other aspects of the appearance of things are explained, then it will appear. Therefore, just as the appearance of things appears, so too will the manner of the knowledge of things appear simultaneously in the knowledge of knowledge. The so-called "appearing as two things" refers to, in the knowledge of knowledge, the knowledge that appears as things itself is the thing that appears, while the knowledge of things is merely external things, therefore, it will simultaneously appear as two things. The so-called "these knowledge" refers to the knowledge of things and the knowledge of experiencing it. The so-called "although appearing as two things is different" is because the knowledge of things merely appears as external things. Furthermore, regarding "things and the knowledge of things," etc., if, when understanding the knowledge of things and experiencing the appearance of knowledge, it is possible to distinguish them, then what appears to the knowledge of things, and what appears to the knowledge of things and the knowledge of things? If the knowledge of things is like this, then they should be distinguished.
