Because existence is the very nature of becoming knowable. If non-cognition is said to be a sign, etc., then the second view is shown. If the difference in meaning of non-cognition is a sign for cognition? Because self-nature is not directly perceived, it is unseen. Those who have sight, i.e., have an object, are the meaning of those who have unseen sight, which is synonymous with being called a non-perceptual object. Other than wanting to appear as a viewer, it refers to the one who wants to enter manifestly with its object, the one who wants to appear as ignorant. Other than those viewers, it means that cognition does not enter into those meanings. In some views, there is no view. Here, view means object, so not seeing means not having an object. If at that time, because cognition does not arise from form, etc., it is thought that the meaning is not seen, then for those objects into which cognition enters, even if the object of the object has already arisen, since it is not admitted as directly perceived, it is not an experience, so those meanings of non-perceptual objects will become unseen, because one's own cognition of not experiencing self-nature is no different. If such a meaning-experiencing object is also held by someone who wants to appear as a viewer, then someone other than the one who wants to appear as a viewer will also see it, because both people are the same in that they do not experience the meaning of the object. Therefore, "those kinds of aspects" and so on are mentioned, because fearing it would be too extreme, even the one who wants to appear as a viewer should admit that the non-perceptual object has not seen that meaning. Therefore, if the wisdom of the meaning of the viewer arises, even so, that is not directly perceived, so he has no object to the difference in meaning. Even so, even if the difference in meaning is not cognized, if the mind is a sign, the viewer wants to appear.

Even relying on this, for those who have not seen the object, since there is a distinction of external objects, it can also become a sign for inferring intelligence. In order to show this, the term "not knowing the distinction of objects" is mentioned. Even when seeing other people, the word "also" means that even when a person who wants to appear as a viewer generates knowledge with that as its object, it is still not knowing the distinction of objects, because it is aimed at something that is not directly perceived. "The existence of others" means that even for other people who are not viewers, the distinction of objects that is not understood exists as a sign of intelligence. "Not dependent on one's own dharma" means that the person inferring is not dependent on his own dharma, that is, other knowledge. "The person inferring" and so on is an explanation of this. It means that it does not depend on the dharma of the knowledge that has become the nature of the person inferring. "Self-dharma, self-object" is mentioned in order to distinguish the fact that one's own dharma can also become an object aimed at other objects. The cause of intelligence, that is, the sign, is the sign of one's own intelligence. "Because there is no connection" means that because it is born in different collections, there is no connection. "The result is just the reversal of intelligence" means that the result, intelligence, comes from the reversal, meaning that even if there are other causes, if there is no sense faculty, there will be none. "It does not work" means that the sense faculty does not work. "It is not a sign, nor is it intelligence" means that this intelligence is not established as a sign of the nature of the result, nor is it established as the nature of the cause of intelligence. If someone thinks that even if there are form and attention, etc., there are still some results, that is, the reversal of consciousness, so there are some causes, thus generally establishing the sense faculty, just as the reversal of any result such as the shaking of the body has some cause, thus generally establishing intelligence. Then, "some results" etc. are said.

Thus, just as there are some causes other than form and attention, so the general sense faculty is established. The very cause of mind will be established as the sense faculty, because the very cause that has become such is called the sense faculty. Thus, from the negation of some results, the general cause alone is established, and it should be known that it is not the meaning that the mind itself is the cause. The mind is not merely considered to be the cause, but it is said, "However, it itself is the nature of the mind," etc. When it is established as the nature of the mind, know the words, "This is the result of this mind." Thus, the arising of heterogeneous aggregates, etc. From any aggregate of mind, the arising of heterogeneous aggregates, that also exists in the things of cause and effect, and will become the sign of the mind. Because there is no other way, it means that relying on one aggregate and relying on heterogeneous aggregates, the way it is said, it is refuted that it is the sign of the mind, because there is no third way. Thus it changes, but by what sign does one call oneself mind, etc., by what sign, wanting to establish mind in me, the follower-deducer, by the movement of the body, etc. From that very sign to another, it means that in the similar aspect, mind will be established, I think there is no example. Because that is established, to another, it means from the similar aspect to another, that is, the word of aspect. Therefore, following is established, and from that following, I am also inferred to follow. This will show that in the similar aspect, mind is inferred without example, and the dharma of the aspect is in me, by the power of example. Thus, etc., it is refuted. By what sign does one want to infer the sign of mind in me, this following before, from inferring in me, what is established, is established earlier than inferring mind in me. Thus, when inference is established, later inferring mind in me.
