Seeing blue and yellow together, it is not merely following blue and yellow, nor is it the opposite of them. So what is it? It is both. The so-called "one and only" refers to the absence of any different subsequent to this. The so-called "not harming, possessing the same power, etc.," the same refers to it, and possessing power, etc., also refers to it, which is the holding of karma. Furthermore, the sound of not harming should also be understood as the holding of karma. Then, for whom do these exist, it should be understood as having the meaning of possessing. The so-called "being near and very near" means being near because of being near, and being very near because of being very near, meaning being near and extremely near. This is just a symbol of nearness. Therefore, the situation of "being far away" should also be considered. Therefore, the author of the sutra wants to combine by the difference of near and far, so he says this meaning. The so-called "clear and unclear, very clear and unclear" should be understood as "very clear and very very clear." For example, because it is far away, it is unclear; because it is very far away, it is very unclear; because it is very very far away, it is very very unclear. Similarly, because it is near, it is clear; because it is very near, it is very clear, and so on. If it is definite or indefinite? This is the way to distinguish what must be grasped, and for the time being, the faults of those indefinite aspects must be pointed out. The so-called "appearance" is an explanation of the word "appearance." The so-called "it is difficult to find a difference that matches the meaning" means that if the appearance is one, then it cannot be the nature of clear and unclear. If it is multiple, then since there is no difference between different particles, where does the clarity and unclearness of the distant observer come from? Appearance also has these. The so-called "there is thinness near" means that the meaning of appearance is the appearance of nearness...

Smallness itself is thinness. If it were not so, how could dust and the like, which are also near, become thin? Like something far away, it should also obscure things nearby. The statement that thin appearance is the cause of obscuration means that it will obscure. The explanation of "also to others" is "to appearance," because those who obscure are of a different nature. The statement "without thinness" means that it is mostly without thinness. The statement "just that much" refers to the various differences caused by the differences in the viewers, such as near and far. Thus, in "showing dharma and non-dharma," etc., whatever benefits through the gate of generating pleasantness, its meaning is shown as dharma. Whatever harms through the gate of generating unpleasantness should be taken as the root, and in reverse, it should be associated with non-dharma. Those are dharma and non-dharma with such characteristics, and they are the cause and effect with the characteristics of benefiting and harming. In "benefiting and harming all sentient beings," etc., because it accomplishes and generates, it is the accomplisher, which is the result. Which action has the result of accomplishing benefit and harm? Which action accomplishes and generates benefit and harm to sentient beings? To that, it is said thus. Whatever action accomplishes benefit and harm to all sentient beings is the fire from the mouth of a horse that arises from attachment, because sentient beings and the container world arise from merit and non-merit. It should not harm all or benefit all, because those who dwell in the realm of destruction do not have both. Therefore, dharma and non-dharma are those that show harm and benefit, and thus it is thought that this is not certain. Here, again, the answer is given with "this also," etc. The statement "gradual maker" is harm and benefit, at what time
