If not, the reason for "if not" is because it does not accept that two consciousnesses, those simultaneous with sensory consciousness and those arising from the state associated with mind, occur simultaneously. The phrase "when consciousness of a later arising state exists" means when there is consciousness that wants to grasp happiness and so on. Happiness and so on do not exist, because they cease together with sensory consciousness. The phrase "one of them" means that "of them" refers to the sixth that must be grasped. One is the consciousness of the senses that grasps objects. The phrase "the other is experiencing happiness and so on" refers to the consciousness of the mind. If it is said that "whatever is similar to something is its proximate cause," then this has already been explained in the context of proving the next life. The phrase "because of experiencing it, one truly experiences the object" is because of experiencing something similar to the object that has become the nature of happiness and so on. It has been shown that "the experiencer is the very nature of experiencing happiness and so on." The phrase "it is not present in things that have become external objects" means that the nature of experience is not present in things that are different from the experiencer. The phrase "also in experiencing it" means that if one admits to experiencing an object that has become something else, then the definition of experience is not reasonable. If asked why, then it is stated that "experience is the very nature of self-awareness." Apart from the nature of self-awareness, another nature of experience cannot be expressed, because it is itself of the nature of realization, and realization is also of the nature of self-awareness. If one experiences another, then one will not become the experiencer of oneself. Experiencing another is not experiencing oneself, because self and other are of different natures. The reason for "that itself is because the knowledge of the nature of self and other is contradictory" is stated. For consciousness, there are not two entities due to the difference between self-awareness and other-awareness, because consciousness is of a single entity. If one admits that it experiences another, then it will not become the nature of self-awareness, and that must be admitted.

If it is not so, there is no other experience. If someone says that even so, consciousness is of the nature of other-awareness, then undoubtedly self-awareness etc. will also be mentioned. Because experiencing others is not established, it is because it is impossible to see the object of non-perception. Although one wants to transform, one wants to appear as different, like knowing consciousness with the aspects of grasping and apprehending pleasure etc. Therefore, if someone says that because the object of grasping that appears as one and different is established, it is uncertain. Then, it is also mentioned that pleasure etc. are also objects etc. The aspect of the object is the aspect of the grasped. The aspect of great joy is the aspect of the grasper. We say that those aspects are the ultimate truth, and to establish non-duality, this has also been extensively explained. Desire is manifest desire. Non-desire is turning away. Equanimity is being in the middle. The difference between desire and non-desire and being in a state of equanimity is a contradictory classification. Those are the nature of sentient beings, and whatever one is accustomed to having the characteristic of that nature, that is what it is called. It is not appearing as that, this sentence means that it will not become appearing as not being different from external objects. For appearing as merely external objects and not being different from them, if external objects are not different, even if practice is different, it is not different, this is pervasive. What contradicts it is also different, so this is the object of contradictory pervasion. Because this has no qualities, this sentence means that the essence of that person's mind is not the qualities of pleasure etc. Cause and effect means that from the power of the object, consciousness transforms into the nature of entering into the aspect of the object. Therefore, consciousness is the effect and the object is the cause. That is also present in the person, this sentence means the meaning of the aspect of the object. Thus, the aspect of the object that abides in consciousness is established in the person. Therefore, because that is the eater, the person
