Etc. have been stated. Regarding the aspect of not grasping all at once, isn't it because one doesn't wish to grasp wool and the like all at once? If asked, why is it said that other things and objects like pots seen by others are all at once? The answer is: Because one doesn't wish for terms like pots other than oneself, therefore it actually becomes one, and thus it becomes grasping all at once, that is the thought. Alternatively, connect it with the phrase "all at once, the mind changes as one." Saying "all at once" is to indicate all, meaning that all things become one mind. For those who do not wish to grasp differences and the basis of differences, there is no fault in this. Having qualities and universals, etc., the combination of different substances, means that whatever has the combination of different substances is called that. Thus, some have large collections of qualities, and others are smaller. Similarly, some things have the universal nature of a cow, and others have the nature of a horse, etc. Saying that sound and the like are considered to be of one nature means that although sound and the like are the perfection of three qualities, they are considered to be one number because they have the nature of abiding in one arrangement. The phrase "various appearances" is the sutra. It is explained by "even on one subject," etc. This negates the existence of universals as real, meaning that if it exists in the realm of experience, then because it is said not to rely on external objects, it will show that universals are not real. This is said after admitting universals. If there is also whiteness, etc. These two are different appearances because they appear indistinct and distinct respectively. Its nature is pervaded by being apprehended by knowledge that is not different from it, and what is contrary to this is also apprehended by knowledge that has a different nature, and if that is the case, then what pervades is the contradictory object. "Being the mind of another" means that the wisdom of the mind is the basis of the mind. Some forms

Regarding the term "for the sake of following," for example, when unclear knowledge arises from sounds such as blue, a follower similar to experiencing blue and the like will also arise. "The other is that which arises from sound" means that the essence is unclear. "If it arises from sound and sensory consciousness" refers to the other, that is, whatever has horns and the like, which is called a cow, therefore, the person who understands through the knowledge arising from sound, when understanding arises from such a transformed teaching, that difference where the concept arising from sound is eliminated will be seen by the eyes of that person who possesses sight. From sight, it is the opposite. From the nature of sight, recognition is differentiated, because the self-nature of conceptual consciousness has already been shown previously. "Through sight, it will be understood in that way" means that through hearing and seeing things, from where will it be understood? It is not so, because sound does not touch its own characteristics. "What does sound mean" refers to the object of the senses, meaning it will not show. "The thing that sound relies on" refers to whether that which has become the object of the senses will follow recognition. It means it will not follow, because the thing itself has not been shown by sound. After acknowledging that the following concept is the general object of expression, and denying that it is the object of the senses, in order to eliminate that itself, it is said "also for this following concept" and so on. Linking it with the situation of "that object will be known," it means that objects such as sound and smell will be experienced. "Does it arise simultaneously with the object of sensory consciousness" refers to arising simultaneously with the knowledge that holds itself. This is said following the treatise of the Vaibhashika school. "As a way of arising earlier" refers to the phenomena of the eyes and so on.

It is the nature of appearing earlier than consciousness. This is stated following the teachings of the Sutra Pitaka. They acknowledge it in this way: first there are the eye and form, and later there is the consciousness of the eye. Both situations are kalpas, because temporarily, before the consciousness of the eye and so on, there are form and so on, which are not momentary. At that time, the first moment is form and so on, the second is the consciousness of the eye and so on, and the third is the consciousness of mind. Thus, the second moment has already passed, so the meaning of the sense object is a kalpa. According to the Vaibhashika school, in the first moment there are the eye and form, as well as the consciousness of the eye itself, and in the second moment there is the consciousness of mind. Even so, one moment has already passed, so the sense object is a kalpa. According to the Vaibhashika school, after the sense object has ceased, it generates the consciousness of mind with its own characteristics, and then ceases. Therefore, isn't the object itself the reason that can establish consciousness? If asked in this way, that is true. However, the Vaibhashika does not think so. Even if it is admitted, the object of eye consciousness and so on also becomes like that, this is not obtained in a half-old way. For doing things, pervasion is the ability to make distinctions, and what contradicts this cannot make distinctions either. Thus, pervasion is the object of the contradictory. The stable thing from that, refers to what is not momentary. That is also occasional, referring to the co-operative cause. For what is not a result, the characteristic of the extraordinary special ability of not being able to do things, that is called that. Therefore, it is said that it is impossible to do anything extraordinary. By that, it refers to the words of the immediately preceding condition. That, is to eliminate the objective condition of sense consciousness itself. Also by that condition, it also refers to the consciousness of the senses by the immediately preceding condition. From the object of sense consciousness, it is said that the other object itself is
