, thinking that it is impossible to understand two things at once. In order to accomplish the severance of seeing and conceptualization, because it is conceptualization, it is not seeing, and so on. For those who establish tenets, because they do not want manifest conceptualization, therefore, because it is conceptualization, it is not unseen. At the time of conceptualization, seeing is completely severed, therefore, seeing is because it is not conceptualization. At the time of seeing, conceptualization is completely severed. If it is said that the consciousness of seeing and conceptualization arises simultaneously, therefore there is no fault. The answer is that the two cannot exist simultaneously. The two refers to seeing and conceptualization. The reason why appearances are different is that the cause of different natures is different appearances, this is the conceptualization with reason. Even if the nature without conceptualization is already different, it is connected in this way. Thus, the clear appearance of blue and yellow, etc., is the wisdom without conceptualization, and what is connected with conceptualization is the unclear conceptualization of language. It is impossible for one wisdom to have the appearance of blue, etc., and the appearance of sound, because different appearances are the cause of different wisdoms. If it is not so, then eye consciousness and ear consciousness will also become one. Unseen refers to the difference between having conceptualization and not having conceptualization. When is this, this is seeing. When cows, etc., enter into manifest appearance in a nearby object, etc., nearby refers to being in front. Object refers to cows, etc., which are able to generate wisdom, and it is considered that the entry of manifest appearance, etc., is other conceptualization. If there is entry of manifest appearance, then other things besides the appearance of cows, etc., in front, the different conceptualization of that kind with that object as the object will clearly tend towards it, when cows, etc., are near, seeing.

It means to discriminate against some other things. If there is another manifestation of discrimination related to the non-speaking nature, then "this thing" refers to the things that appear, such as cows. By negating the appearance of things such as cows, to discern other things, the saying that has this object is called the non-speaking nature of that thing. Because it is a saying known by other things, it is not talking about other things. If there is a manifestation of other discriminations that are related to and follow that non-speaking nature, that is, abandoning the saying of the appearance of things, and using other sayings to discern other things. This treatise clarifies the meaning of the manifestation of different kinds of discriminations tending towards. In this case where other objects depend on other things, the discriminating consciousness that now grasps the object, has the image of a cow, etc., and approaches the thing, is also admitted to have seen the thing, because it has been admitted that discrimination itself is seeing. That which is considered to be direct perception, if it is not a judgment of other things, then the two states cannot exist simultaneously. Therefore, if there is discrimination that depends on other things, then for the thing in front of you, seeing will not be incomplete. Therefore, it is said "even if it is decided" and so on. "When it is empty" refers to when seeing is empty. "Those two" refers to those seeing. "Obstructing its connection" refers to destroying those seeing. Someone thinks that through continuous seeing, the continuous arising will be understood. If in the middle, or because there is no seeing, the second seeing is destroyed, if it is not produced simultaneously, then from where is the connection of seeing made? Therefore, it is said "in order to harm seeing."

Therefore, it means that it does not have the ability to prevent the arising of seeing itself. It is like seeing a torch wheel. It means that the continuously rotating torch fragments are the torch wheel. For the part of the torch wheel, the previous eye consciousness gradually arises, and in order to connect these, the later mind consciousness mistakenly thinks it is a wheel. Others think so. This can be shown by, for example, "the part of the torch wheel," etc. The connection is also not done through seeing, but if the connection is done through seeing, then seeing can clearly and completely determine the object. Just as it is completely determined, the connection of the shape of the wheel will also become clear. But this is not the case, the connection is not done through seeing, because its object is very close, so it lacks the ability to connect the previous and subsequent parts. However, this is the case where memory connects. If that is indeed the case, then "this" etc. is also mentioned, because this memory also connects things that have become objects, because it cannot connect things that have not become objects. Otherwise, it would be too much. "Unclear" means that the appearance of the appearance of discrimination appearing clear is itself contradictory. Like the object of seeing, this is an example of a different nature. Therefore, since the cause of the objects of seeing and memory is clarity and unclearness, they connect the object of memory and the object of seeing. The appearance of the wheel will not become completely clear, but will gradually become clear and unclear. This itself is because they have different natures. The so-called "they" refers to seeing and memory. If the appearance of the wheel becomes two forms, then just like quickly entering seeing and water droplets dripping, etc., it is mentioned that quickly entering seeing and water droplets dripping, etc., this is distinguished by contrast. In that case, the pillar...
