It is also said, such as "also capable of producing one result." The so-called "following after it" means following after the ability. The so-called "by reason of following other abilities" means that for things that have the reason to follow other abilities, the sentences are combined. If so, why is it capable of producing one result? Because not all appearances follow, but only some. If so, here it is following the difference of other abilities, so the reason for following, the previous ability should also be examined, and that is also another, so it will be endless. Although it is desired to become like that, generally speaking, it is only grasping, and even if it is grasped, it is not certain. Therefore, it is said such as "even if it is grasped." The so-called "not made by it" means that the knowing and speaking of appearances are not made by the general grasping, because oneself is uncertain, so in this case, it will not become the reason for knowing and speaking. The so-called "if the nature of the senses is the self-seer," means if there is a seer who transcends the meaning of the senses. The so-called "what returns from what is said," means how many aspects are shown from the nature of the general characteristic, and the meaning of returning from it. The so-called "that itself is not what is to be said," etc., will be explained. For the proximate cause of the mind that focuses on non-things, it is said to have the proximate cause of non-things, but non-things are not the proximate cause of some things. The so-called "the meaning of appearance does not focus," means wanting to negate, because it is desired that there is absolutely nothing on that object. The so-called "not having a being with birth," etc., is because it is completely the nature of non-things. The so-called "merely not focusing," means that the nature of focusing has not been distinguished, because if it exists, it may exist because of self-nature, etc., in that case, it is the law of both, and it is the same for things like "existence and non-existence are also possible, in that case, it is the law of both." Because it is what is to be said.

The reason for dispelling the doubt that some people have that these arguments can refute the illogicalities in other arguments is because they say that these arguments do not point out the illogicalities themselves. It is because what is said, etc., arises from the power of things themselves, so it is not another argument. Therefore, if through transmission, the general knowledge that has the basis of things follows the actions of things, even so, it cannot be established as an actual object of things just by that. And, it cannot be said that it actually follows the existence or non-existence of the meaning of the argument, because if it becomes like that, it becomes unestablished for the refuter. Meaning Is the same as things that cannot function, and the realm of sound, etc., because the research has already begun before, isn't the research also beginning on the general? If it is said that only one's own characteristics should be studied, then the idea of mutual contradiction will arise. Therefore, the so-called "some" refers to the person who speaks of general things, when admitting the general thing itself, actually admits his own characteristics. If this is the thing itself, then it should be hoped that it is usually not deceived, and if so, then it contradicts the self-nature of the determined essence, because the essence alone is also its own characteristic. Therefore, for it, does the thing itself exist? Or not, this research starts from the perspective of one's own characteristics. Therefore, it is said, "Then, is it suitable for some people?" etc. If it is not like this, then for the thing that is determined to be non-existent, it means that the enlightened one cannot conduct any research on the general determination from the perspective of non-existence. The so-called "two realms are spoken" refers to the teacher Dignāga explaining that "two characteristics are measurable," he said that there is nothing measurable other than the characteristics of self and generality. If the teacher says this, then does he also think that the characteristics of generality other than self-nature are also measurable? Answer with "other than self-nature," etc., that is, the generality other than self-nature.
