It should be added with words like "not apparent." For the consciousness that holds non-blue etc., being separated from the self-nature of the universal blue, it is not appearing as the image of blue, which is the summarized meaning. For the consciousness that has the state of holding it, appearing as that image is pervaded by that image itself. What contradicts this, that is, is not that image itself, in this way, the pervader is the contradictory object. When grasping universality from sound, it is also because grasping has a universal basis, and what is clarified by the consciousness arising from sound is also grasped. Therefore, if it is said that the senses are meaningless, then it will become like that. If you use "direct perception" etc. to meet the question of the answer, it will eliminate this doubt. Just like this, if you can also know the universal basis through sound, then what appears from the consciousness arising from sound is an unclear nature, but for the consciousness of the senses, it is clear. Therefore, it is said that "the consciousness of meaning also has two types" and so on. For uttering names, etc., this is also the same answer. That is to say, when uttering names, etc. related to meaning, if understanding meaning also comes from sound, then the image is not obvious, so the senses are not without fruit. The so-called "each determines meaning, the body is the same" is because it actually contradicts multiplicity. The so-called "having different appearances" is an explanation of the nature that appears to be obvious. The so-called "other than that" is other, the nature that appears to be unclear. When the nature of appearance is regarded as an object and distinguished, consciousness has the difference between direct perception and non-direct perception, and because it appears to be different, it is pervaded by different objects. What contradicts this is to admit that it has the same object, in this way, the pervader is what is observed. For "For anything, anything cannot do a little bit, or anything that has been established" and so on, for anything, anything cannot do a little bit, then it will not depend on it, this is a point to be established. Anything that has been established is not subject to other domination.

It is called the second. Among these, for the first thing to be proven, the pervader is non-apprehension. Because it depends on it itself, it has something to do with it, therefore it pervades, but it is not here. For what is mainly negated as non-existent, the pervader is non-apprehension. For the reason that mainly becomes proof, the pervader is the contradictory apprehension. Therefore, it is said, "For the second thing to be proven," and so on. Here, dependence on others is pervaded by non-establishment, and what contradicts this is also the nature of establishing only the proof. The commentary on the Explanation of Valid Cognition, the fiftieth volume. "If it is other, then it is unrelated." This is the sutra. To expand and explain it, "If it is other, from what is the meaning other?" This is the question. "From clarity." This is the answer. "What is it?" This is the question, meaning what is the fault if it is other from clarity? "Generally" and so on are the answers. At that time, because there is no self-nature, nothing will become universal, meaning that something without self-nature cannot become a universal state. For example, "not a horse" itself, meaning that others who have a state of belittling universal things do not want any saying of "not a horse." Therefore, the meaning of the word itself becomes a thing, and it is not desired to be other. The six meanings of words are: substance, गुण(梵文天城体,guṇa,梵文罗马拟音,guna, quality), कर्म(梵文天城体,karma,梵文罗马拟音,karma, action), सामान्य(梵文天城体,sāmānya,梵文罗马拟音,samanya, general), विशेष(梵文天城体,viśeṣa,梵文罗马拟音,visesa, particular), and समवाय(梵文天城体,samavāya,梵文罗马拟音,samavaya, inherence). "What does that sound determine?" This is the sutra. It is explained by "from abandoning what is not desired" and so on. "Why can't excluding others be its nature?" It means that relying on the respective contradictory natures of things, establishing external things as what is expressed by sound, then the nature of excluding others cannot be anything, because it is non-existent like a fabrication. What is the contradiction of the external self-characteristic, that contradiction is not different from one's own nature, so excluding others is the thing itself, not what is expressed by sound.
